***Big 10 Thread***

I'll be honest, as I logged on today I thought "even we would have a hard time finding fault with JBo intentionally missing a free throw for that reason." But alas.

Count me in the group that thinks it's a cool gesture to make sure Chris stays in the record books.

Yep, CyTwins will be all over this latest scandal involving Iowa athletics. Can already see him taking the following angles.

1) What a disgrace JorBo did to the Street name. Missing a free throw with the game still in question is the last thing Street would have wanted.

2) Why did JorBo make the 34th in a row if he wanted Street to remain the record holder? Very selfish move on his part to ensure his name is along with Street.

3) Can't believe Fran backed up his PG when he missed a free throw on purpose late in the game and only up 8. With Iowa's terrible defense they need every point they can get.

I haven't said anything about it and I have no opinion on it either way so I'm not going to say anything

This is not a right way to honor Chris Street. This is actually an insult. If I am the record holder, I don’t want a player to miss intentionally to preserve the record.

I think it may be a little like that if the streak wasn't alive at the time he died. Essentially, the point is that Street never got the chance to extend it further than 34. So Bohannon, who has become close to the Street family, honored that by not passing it.

Iowa fans/trolls, whatever you are, here is a question that this FT thing brought up for me. Why hasn't Street's number been retired or at least his jersey retired and hung in the rafters? I think that would be a bigger deal.

I'm pretty sure Street's jersey has been retired

Street's parents were there and hardly insulted. His dad told JorBo next time to fly right by it, so I wouldn't be surprised if he gets the chance again he breaks the record. Street was in the midst of his streak when he was killed, no way of knowing where the record would've ended up. To try crapping all over this gesture that JorBo made out of respect is pretty sad. If this involved ISU players and happened in Hilton you'd all be wetting yourselves. There's a reason the story is getting national attention.

Good god, not hard to see why the program sucks so much.

It’s the freaking consecutive FT record. JFC what a sanctimonious piece of crap Iowa sports are. “hey everyone look over here we suck and the ad is a **** show! Look over here! Wave! FTs!”
