Graham Couch: Iowa Basketball is a mid-major roster

Talley is pretty bad so for ISU's sake it would probably be best if he were passed in the rotation next season.

Did you watch the game last night? Pretty frustrating and not many positives to take away from it other than the fact I thought Talley was really good for us

He's a hawk fan. He wouldn't know good basketball if it bit him on the ass. He wants to throw out some stats saying Talley isn't good or that one of our great players isn't as good as we think. All while hawk basketball sinks further into that pit they call a basketball arena.

I watched a few minutes when the 2nd half started and KU's big guy scored with ease on like 3-4 straight possessions.

It looks like Talley scored the ball well last night. 2 rebounds, 0 assists, 1 steal and 0 blocks though in 36 minutes? What else did he do out there last night?

Are you going to disappear after tonight's game?

They ran some great plays for him. I can think of 3 easy lob dunks he had.

Azubuike is a different animal than you see in CBB most games. 7'0 280 and gets better every game.

Talley played a big role in holding Svi to 3-10 shooting.

Yeah he really did. Made a lot of great decisions and put some pressure on the rim which is his role plus he played some solid D

If there is one thing a Hawk fan knows is an opposing player exploiting bad defense. First time I would ever concede you know what you are talking about.

Jealous or don't have the peaches to tell us what you do? Don't forget your florescent vest and stop sign in the morning for your crossing duties!!

Cyclone.TV - I will be hiring another territory rep in July.

Should have known that resident troll yeahbuddy wouldn't answer this. He talks all tough.... then like a fart in the wind just goes away.

You didnt really tell us what you do. You pretty much said you were in sales. Congrats?

First ISU game I've watched since the Iowa game...came away from the game really impressed by Lard. He has really improved and gives maximum effort.

On another note...came away impressed with Crean as a color guy...seemed to have done his homework. Had nice things to say about both teams....I like him better than most analysts already.

Disappointing for sure, but not discouraging. We lost on our home court to an average KU team, but still a team that’s top-15 and well coached.
We lost because of 3P shooting and points off TOs. You have to be doing many things well to lose by 6 when going 3-16 on 3Ps and out-scored 21-4 on points off turnovers.

Coaching wise you could say we were/are too dependent on two guys taking tough shots in the half-court and struggle to find other ways to score, but if any team shoots that poorly they’re not beating a top-15 team. Running to get points when the shots aren’t falling is tough when we have only 6 guys, and that includes Young playing with torn cartilage and Babb with tendinitis. Admittedly we didn’t run before the depth issues, but that’s for a different thread.

We utilized our frontcourt advantage well, but we definitely should have forced Doke to the bench by getting him to pick up his fourth foul earlier.

Defense was poor, but it’s been poor for most of the last decade.

Crean won't be out of coaching for long. Can't believe he didn't land a job this past season.

Crean is surprisingly very good as an analyst. I wonder if he’ll give Minnesota a look when that job opens up.
