All Iowa Football Team---Post Bowl Edition

Super Bowl.

Honest question, are fumbles including in QB rating or did Kempt just still crush Stanley in that department without them being considered?

Probably don't count fumbles but I can't be sure. But I was wrong earlier. Kempt couldn't even beat out Zeb who couldn't beat out Park who got clearly outplayed on his own field by Stanley. My bad.

Allen was second team all conference. Not sure what Fant was. I know he's a really poor blocker

Kempt couldn't beat out Zeb?

If fumbles aren't included in QBR then that's like comparing Wigginton (Kempt) to Ellingson (Fumbler). The gap is huge

Lol. Allen had something like 4 catches for 35 yards and 0 TDs on the season. Fant beat those numbers in one half vs. Ohio St.
Have a hard time arguing with your list Gonzo.

That said, you also put Toren Young on there. You wouldn't have had a gripe from me if you woulda threw Hocksinson/Allen (Allen was a great blocker) or Eaton/Jones on there!

I'm sure Young will be a productive back but if were strictly going on 2017 production.

You mean in addition to the others? Most all-conference/all-american teams go with 2 RBs, 2 WRs, 1 TE, so that's what I went with.

With Iowa's style they will have a RB in there (especially if you're putting a 2nd RB in there).

I truly do think that Nwangwu will be one of the top weapons though. He is a very explosive player.

Yep, this list will definitely change by year's end. I think Epenesa will replace one of the other Iowa DEs. Young is iffy but has shown the most of the other RB options to date. Who knows if Snyder can stay vertical all season so one of the S positions would likely be up for grabs as well.

Epenesa certainly has the measureables to be a great player.

Think ISU has a few youngsters at S with potential but I think they're a year away from being high caliber players. Could also depend if they get a transfer to put back there.

Nwangwu is better than Toren Young IMO, but with Montgomery ahead of him, Nwangwu probably won't get the touches that Young will at Iowa.

QB is a total toss up IMO. I still don't know how Kempt gets by with throwing weak wobbly ducks a quarter of the time and they don't get intercepted? A lot of the time they end up as completions because the WR comes back for them and the DB hasn't turned their head.

But Stanley is too mistake prone for me as well. Tough call for me on that one.

If Easley is Iowa's best WR, then all the WRs should be Cyclones, no doubt in my mind. ISU probably has 3 or 4 WR's better than Easley.

I think Allen may have had fewer game-losing drops against Northwestern, too. Someone may have to fact check me on that though.

Good, not great. And we'll need to bump Peavy given how many games he lost for you guys by getting scorched for last-second game-winning TDs. Iowa and KSU come to mind. Not sure if I'm missing any others.

Peavy never lost ISU a game. He's a stud by the way
