Bump for @YeahBuddy
Man, it really bothers you that Jackson is so terrible on defense.
You already know the numbers on Garza otherwise you wouldnt have asked me to post them.

Iowa shoots 48.0% from the field, good for 36th in the NCAA.
ISU checks in at 232nd with a FG% of 43.7%.

Pretty crazy. Made me wonder where the gap was.Iowa shoots 48.0% from the field, good for 36th in the NCAA.

Yep..Pretty crazy. Made me wonder where the gap was.
Defense.....the gap is in defense.
Yeah I don't think we're going to miss Jackson much. He'd be the best guard on your team but we'll upgrade next year with Shayok.
Garza's defense is awful. Really really awful
Yea that's not true.I thought most ISU fans were counting on big things from him this year? At least from reading here that is what I gathered.

There is no question that Jackson is a good jump shooter and can give you a flurry of points. Rarely misses at the FT line.So ISU fans weren't high on Jackson coming into the season?

I don't recall any threads that most were gushing on Jackson. There was plenty of hype for Wigginton and a few people that I respect for their basketball opinions were high on Babb.So ISU fans weren't high on Jackson coming into the season?

Niang was a role player on a NCAA tournament team as a freshman. And in Niangs "best season" he did that while playing more than 33 minutes a game.
Garza is playing well, but he's doing it on a bad team and for limited stretches of time. We'll see how he progresses.
Whar Tyler Cook?NBAdraft.net which isn't always reliable as Wigginton as a late first round pick next year.

Donovan is the teams leading scorer, the #11 scorer in the league, best FT shooter in the league, top 10 in 3pt % and has more 20+ point games than everyone not named Trae Young. Seems like he's giving us quite a bit and thats with only one other guy teams respect at all on the perimeter. I think we'll miss him more than people think. His production won't be impossible to replace but it'll be tough to replace his presence. The attention he draws gets everyone better shots.
Next year there will be an obvious upgrade in talent but no one coming is in his league when it comes to shooting. The good news is, there will be 2 or 3 guys vying to fill his role, this season, if he isn't hitting, the 3 ball isn't much a factor, it'll be nice to spread that out in case someone is having an off night.
Wow, Garza has a PER almost 10 points higher than Niang did as a freshman and about 3 points higher than his best season.
