***Big 10 Thread***

You said you'd rather have Petras over Purdy so I assume you did. I mean you won't pick between Joe and THT because you haven't seen film on THT...

When there is that significant of a gap in recruiting ranking its not really necessary to watch the film.

Leave it to an Iowa fan to nitpick a dunk when THT showed more athleticism in two clips than Iowa fans have seen from a guard in a decade.

Hawk fans are not impressed by dunks, they seem them all the time at the end of their games. Garza gets out of the way so the fans can have a better view.

Even when their is also a significant difference in offers in favor of the lower ranked guy? Let me guess you think Waggoner is the best or second best player in the class too

2nd best based on ranking.

If you are going to use offers, Waggoner is the best prospect in the Iowa class.

I'm curious to you Iowa fans, especially @iahawks @YeahBuddy and @dexterhawk if you would rather have Wieskamp or THT on your roster next year? I'd take Wieskamp over any incoming recruit for ISU besides THT and that includes Griffin who Kansas wanted so it's not like I'm dogging him or anything
I know absolutely nothing about THT ( Too bad his middle initial isn't N) If it was N I'd definitely go with him because....well, that's just bad ass....

As it stands, I'll stick with Wieskamp.

Yeah why would Iowa need an athletic guard with a 7'1 wingspan next year when you can get a spot up shooter with slow feet

So with Iowa yet again failing on what was supposed to be a banner year of future brightness, the response from Hokdom is to post about a future player like it's going to matter?

Classic.

A cycle that never ends.

Great effort, tough loss. Fun game to watch though.

Seriously, it was somewhat revealing. Iowa didn't lose that game because of talent. They lost that game because of coaching and Izzo didn't set the bar very high for at least this night. The entire 2nd half I thought the hoks were going to spank Sparty. They were more confident, quicker, more engaged. Then after a timeout with about 2 min left they look timid and frightened. I don't know what Fran does in those huddles but the result is never positive.

IIRC the only Iowa team that I can think of that was good AND not overhyped was that one that was a 3 seed but got beat 1st round several years ago. It was oddly an Iowa team I didn't mind and I think they kind of overachieved to have a nice year.

2006. Fran would be proud, that team was built on small-town Hawk fans Brunner, Haluska, and Horner. Iowa does their best when they’re the UNI All-Stars.

That was a pretty good team that could have made a run.

I feel the best Iowa team post Davis, is the second Alford team. That team was rolling before Recker went down. I think they could have won the conference that year and been a very high seed.
