Iowa Football Recruiting

Honestly getting anyone with a single P5 offer at the LB position is a huge step in the right direction for you guys.

Purdy would be an incredible get. Man fingers are crossed but I'm feeling better now that CMC knocked Saban out of the picture

So McDonald, being ranked higher than Purdy, would be a really incredible get....right?

No. Sometimes you have to look at who wanted who. Waggoner is much higher than Peterson and we chose Peterson over him. Would you rather beat out Alabama and A&M for a recruit or beat out Purdue?

That is the feeling, yes.

Before he went on the Ole Miss visit this past weekend it was thought to be down to Purdue and Iowa.

Agree, he probably would be considered an incredible get for the ISU program. Would he be enough to bump your class into the top 50 you think?

So you must be pretty worried that the only program that wanted your best LB commit was New Mexico.

Do you think ISU gets Purdy?

Nah it's the McDonald kid. Then someone named Rose you snagged from Ball St. No P5 offers for either. Vaughn's rating is way lower but he did have Maryland and Rutgers offers.
Again, McDonald isn't a LB recruit.

But if you keep repeating it maybe he will become one.
