***Big 10 Thread***

That doesnt make any sense.
Man, it is so hilarious to read preseason posts form some hawk fans such as DanL53. Garza = Kevin McHale, Nunge = Nowitzsky?, rim protector? We are excited about Wigginton and Lard but no Cyclone fans compare them to Curry or Olajuwon.

What is your expectations of Wieskamp? Trae Young type of numbers? Fred Hoiberg? Matt Thomas? It is comical thst some Iowa fans thought Garza was one and done.

I think he'll be pretty good in a few years. He will take his lumps next year, going from 3A in Iowa to Big 10 competition is a huge jump.

Today he isn't playing anywhere near the level of competition that Wigginton did at Oak Hill, or even THT in Chicago. It's a pretty big leap from even those levels of play to P5 D1.

I also think Wieskamp will be pretty good in a few years. I expect a career similar to Matt Thomas. Not as good shooter as Thomas but better mid range game.

I was surprised to see Nebraska is 8-4 in the B1G. Looking at their schedule, I think we’d be at least 7-5 right now.

Yes, Iowa is still historically better, but most of that is ancient history, but still history nonetheless.

Iowa has had 25 NCAA appearances, 8 conference championships, 2 conference tournament championships, 8 Sweet 16s, 3 Final Fours and 1 Runner Up

ISU has had 19 NCAA appearances, 6 conference championships, 5 conference tournament championships, 5 Sweet 16s, and 1 Final Four

A lot of iowa's success was back when they still used peach baskets.
