Hmm, I'm not sure as I haven't bothered login to all the accounts and getting statements for the end of the year.
 
I can tell you that the last 5 years or so mine has went up a lot and I'm not doing anything different. Great market conditions and getting older helps that out a lot. On the down side, with the market being down 1.5% today I've probably lost the equivalent of my wages from the first year I went to work just today.
 
Using the 4% rule, with a million dollars in retirement, you're talking about $40k/year. Net exactly living the high life.

Yeah, $1M is really conservative, especially if you live until you're 90 or so. My current target is $3 million for retirement. I want to have enough to live comfortably and travel plus have enough on hand in the event of health issues. And if things go well, I'd love to pass along some to my daughter. I'm not counting on crap from SS.
