Workin' Hard

Yup, I just posted that in the other thread. You can question a lot of things about this team - but not their work-ethic.

We just can't grab some of those loose balls...probably a strength issue and some lack of anticipation due to inexperience. I am not giving up on this year! Watch out in years to come.

Grab a couple more loose balls and hit a few more free throws and you've got yourselves a different game. Very frustrating to watch, though. You feel the momentum want to change so badly, but then a rebound gets poked away or a questionable call is made. They just could NOT get over the hump.

I agree... great effort today. They still look a little out of synch, but less so than some of the last few games. They stayed in the game purely out of strength of will. McIntosh looked much more comfortable today. Corey Johnson did also. All the loose balls did bounce Bradley's way. The announcers kept talking about how much Bradley lost from last year, which was a little frustrating since they lost nowhere near as much from their program as Iowa State. The Ohio State game might end up as a classroom of sorts, so regardless of the score there, I think they will continue to learn and improve.

thats all i am looking for in the ohio state game, improvment, we can def. learn alot in that game, and then we have 2 games b4 big12 play to work on it, i really think this is the game that will wake up our players for the big 12, and it makes it even better because it is on the road, prob wont be a very fun game for us but i am sure the guys will give it their all.

Definately can't question the heart on this team. They have battled back from several big deficits this year. I just wish we could see some more effort on the defensive end, especially from the guards. We are far too athletic at the guard position to be getting beat off the dribble the way we have been, and it is either giving up easy looks or leading to fouls. Still, thought there was an overall improvement in play today... OSU is gonna be tough though

I think our effort is OUTSTANDING!! They are a fun team to watch when they play like this.

I'm sorry, but it seemed that on the offensive end, especially in the second half, our team looked like they weren't doing anything on offense. And I don't mean not making shots or getting rebounds, I mean running the offense (if there was one) in general. It seemed like every time down the floor, Taylor would bring the ball up to the key, and EVERY player just seemed to be standing around. I know I wasn't the only one who noticed this (I heard numerous fans yelling, "Move around!") and it was just really frustrating to watch for a majority of the second half. I can't say I was impressed with the effort.

We just need to learn to slow down on offense. Plays seem rushed, especially on the break. I'm sure that'll fix itself with experience.

I was really impressed by how we made bradley work the ball in. They used the full 35 MANY times this afternoon. And lots of times they passed the ball around until we finally got caught out of place or mis-matched because of giving backside help. Something to be said about the patience of Bradley.

One problem is we fight with each other to grab the ball. Why don't they yell I have it?

Standing around appeared to be the case if we went slow pace. This is when our offense is at its worse. At least, last year we isolated Curtis and Willl one on one just like the pros. I think we shoul;d do that with Mike or Cory or Corey and let Rashson or Wesley rebound the back side. Now is the time to experiment.
