Short version, this blogger requested a free hotel room in exchange for mentioning the hotel in her blog and "giving" them publicity. Hotel owner took offense to the ridiculous request and posted her email (with her name removed) online. She then went online and cried about it.

Seriously? I'm sorry, but if you list your occupation as a social media influencer, we can't be friends.

Absolutely, and it's probably going to hurt him more by making a big deal about it.

I have no problem with how he reacted after she posted the 17 minute video complaining about how she got bullied, when he never did anything to expose her but rather the entitlement that bloggers feel. If he would have posted her email in full with the caption "stupid ******* bloggers" I would have no sympathy for him. But for him to be getting blasted for telling a person he wouldn't give her a multi-million dollar stay for free, isn't fair.

Agree with Argent Cy that a simple no would have sufficed, or him explaining that giving free stays costs him money on payment for his loyal employees a little less sarcastically would have been the better idea. But something tells me that this response stems from other bloggers in the past trying to get free stays at this well known/pricey hotel.

and with 2,000,000 views of her rant, at the estimated 1 cent per view estimate, she just make another $20,000

I don’t have a real issue with the blogger. I think she posted her video calling it out for her own self interest and the publicity it brought but she has a point. The hotel owners post was completely uncalled for. If you don’t want to get that marketing in exchange for a free stay that’s fine. If you are getting multiple inquiries about it issue a statement that you aren’t interested in that type of thing or something. People need to realize that they need to treat people with respect.

Maybe I'm wrong here, but upon Googling, it appears it's a three-star hotel offering rates topping at €119 (about $145). Sure, maybe it's near a five-star restaurant or something but even at her request, his initial response was beyond necessary.

Being popular and having followers stops being worth anything the day after you graduate from high school, or at least this used to be how the world worked. Thanks Twitter.

Actually, it pretty much never died. The pond just got bigger so it’s takes more for the 15 minutes of fame.
