All Iowa Football Team---Post Bowl Edition

Should we feel honored that you felt a road win at ISU was the most impressive for both teams? I would put a road win at OU with a third string QB as the most impressive, but that's me I guess.

31 point blowout of OSU was the best win for either team. And its really not that close.

Wow!! You and yeahbuddy get separated at birth. Either that or you are one in the same. Surprised you had the ability to even look it up!! Those hawk fans sure are tricky these days!! Hope you enjoyed your Superbowl this year. Carry on with your fellow trolls.....

Haha...so your link was one that was dated way before fall practice even started. Let the men talk here, hate that you keep taking bathroom breaks during your lunch shift at Culver's to sneak away and get in a quick post on this board.

Without common opponents...

Although admittedly I should of left 2002 off, but just about every year ISU won we heard that it was a fluke and Iowa was better those years. The moral of my story is you can't have it both ways.

Why not?? In years where the teams are really close to one another, the tiebreaker is the head to head. Not that hard.

at ISU.

Are you going to claim this as some type of moral victory?

Nope, just wanting to compare. I believe beating a playoff team at their place days after losing your starting quarterback would be the best win by both teams. I just wanted to see if you mentioned Nebraska or some other big ten powerhouse.

You really can't do anything concrete, even head to head if you compare entire seasons. In that case Auburn should be celebrating their national title today.

Teams grow differently over the year.

But I digress, my point is more about those years (probably like 2001) where Iowa and ISU had similar or exact final records, ISU won head-to-head, but all we heard was ISU winning was a fluke and Iowa still had the better team. You can't have it both ways.

This is gold!! Since when are trolls on here considered men? Getting all tough from behind your keyboard now when mom leaves the room. Yeah too bad though since the Culver's in Ames is closed this week for remodeling. Nice try though! Playing the "not feeling good so you can stay home with mom" card today?

Auburn lost four games to Alabama's one.

2001 is another very close year. Iowa finished 8-5 with the 40th ranked schedule and ISU finished 7-6 with the 49th ranked schedule. ISU won head to head. Almost a coin flip really.

I think Iowa finished 7-5 in 2001.
