Even after they finally a win a bowl game, here we are, spun back to talking about the legendary 12-2 Rose Bowl season (season ends at 12-0... B1G Championship and Rose Bowl didn't actually happen, though).

I'm just glad we all finally agree that the 2015 Iowa team was very good. Progress.

I didn't say either team was a joke, so I don't know where you got that from. Post #431 doesn't say that, either. Both teams were alright given their respective conferences and situations.

Since 2009, the year that Bill Snyder returned to Kansas State, both the purple kitties and the fightin' Fred Flinstones have been practically the same team.

KSU:
Overall record 74-42
Best season 11-2, worst season 6-7
8 wins over AP Top 25 teams, 2 wins over AP Top 10 teams
Conf record 48-31
Best Conf season 8-1, worst Conf season 3-6
Average conf standing = 4.75

Iowa:
Overall record 73-44
Best season 12-2, worst season 4-8
10 wins over AP Top 25 teams, 5 wins over AP Top 10 teams
Conf record 43-31
Best Conf season 8-0, worst Conf season 2-6
Average conf standing = 5.28

Both usually win close games by being fundamentally sound if not a little boring, occasionally upsetting a legitimately great team. The difference is that Hawk fans think they are a major player in their conference and the nation, while most of the Wildcat fans I've met understand that it's all about the conference blue bloods.

So I guess torn ACL's only hurt players and don't injure them.

Girl in my sons HS had the identical injury as my son. She took 9 months to pass her release tests. She still hobbles around. My son has passed the tests in 3 months and is just waiting on the clock and you would never know he was injured.

Most Iowa fans know they aren't a blue blood or a major player.

Ferentz salary - $4.8mil
Snyder salary - $3 mil

...for the same results.

The difference between Iowa 2015 and Memphis 2017 is that Memphis pounded most of the teams on their weak schedule. I think Iowa was okay in 2015, but certainly not ELITE like most hok fans claim. This was proved out in their last 2 games. Maybe "very good" for Memphis was an overstatement, but they are certainly better than the crappy Iowa and BC teams we saw last night.

Ok, I just looked at payouts because Iowa fans were saying payouts made a bowl bigger when we used their old tired logic of closer to January. Saw that liberty pays more than pinstripe. Now what will hawk trolls spout?

Why does your coach have a major player contract then?

For a number of reasons. He was in high demand, he has done a real good job, runs a clean program, and because our AD is lazy. Having said that, he has earned his contract. I would much rather pay 4 to 5 million and get KF results than pay 2 to 3 million and be awful at football.

Maybe because most of what you post is irrational and dumb???

If the klownz ever get more than a one year winning record, instead of the normal 3-8 record maybe you'll have enough money to pay your coach more. Actually why does lil bro even care what we pay our coaches is the real question?

I haven't said anything irrational or dumb in this thread. Sometimes I go a little far in giving the hoks crap, but it's fun watching you guys get all butt hurt.
