2017 Stock Prediction

Find a professional who doesn't receive any commissions because those guys would love you. That is the only advice I can give now.

Wouldn't you rather have them make commissions assuming it's like a sports agent where they take a % of your earnings. This would seem like the best incentive for them to help you make $$.

I know I'm green to this, but I'm gonna have some disposable income coming to me when we sell some of our rabbits.

I think I'm gonna try Edward R Jones instead of Chris this time.

Anyone have any experience with him?

Commissions refer to money they get for selling you particular products.

Don't count your rabbits before they hatch.

Just wire me all your money. I'll keep it protected, unlike Chris.

One thing I'd be interested in knowing is how much did Chris Williams invest in UA.

Is he still buying it?

Sounds like you're doing great in rabbits-why would you ever want to invest in the stock market?

ROFL-very funny troll job!

This is great. We should totally keep this thread going all year for market conversation. I'm fascinated by it.

My big long term play is still Under Armor. Long term. All these endorsements they have overpaid for are eventually going to pay off big time. They have overreached now but in 10 years, I see a stock that's trading at 29 or whatever now up in the 50s or 60s consistently.

Hey, Chris.

You were pretty freaking enthusiastic about this thread back in January.

Where are you?

Thoughts on Shop? i have contemplated buying this stock for a few weeks now. It appears to be at a good price to buy right now-around 103. I just cant seem to pull the trigger for some reason. I want to throw 5k and watch it go back up to the 120 plus range lol. I invest quite a bit on mutual funds, but I have never gone the single stock route. That may be why I haven't pulled the trigger and the fact it is somewhat expensive.

Soooo let me get this right. You came to a sports focus forum and are upset you took someone else's advice on investing money, who is not a professional adviser only a person you assumed was knowledgeable, and you're upset because you made a bad investment?

Take this as a lesson learned........ don't believe everything you read on the internet. This thread was a prediction, not a guarantee. I also suggest you find a professional financial adviser to handle your investment or just pick an actively managed index fund, like a Target Retirement to start. Check out bogleheads.org for some basic investing understanding.

Haven’t looked at it yet, but why does it seem to be at a good price? Elaborate on the why you would buy it at this price point. What are the pros and what are the possible issues with this pick?

Saw my 401k is up 20+% on the year just with my index funds. I put zero thought into it haven't stressed about it, didn't have to listen to Chris gush about UA, and am now not freaking out like fullmonte.

This has been a good time for Index investing because many people are adopting the concept. That won't last forever.

That and Hedge Fund managers. A lot are closing up shop.

That isn't entirely true.

A lot close up shop every year and a lot open too. 2017 saw net new hedge funds. This is probably more about the market being on a tear than anything.

Full disclosure, I work for a small hedge fund. They aren't for indviduals or 401k's. They are better suited for institutions.

Guys, we've already covered that Thefullmonte is a couple of adult men from HawkeyeLounge that share a login. He's clearly trolling.

That said, it was hilarious and well done.

Sounds like a boring life. I'd rather sell some rabbits, double down on UA and live life dangerously like the fullmonte.

Hey Warren Buffett,
You realize he said 10 years for his timeline. You have another 9 years before you can ***** about his recommendation that you alledgedly put $10k into. Screen shots of your loss or it didn't happen.

Sincerely,
Guy that's annoyed that you're turning a pretty decent thread into a fake whine session.

All in the purchase price.DDD is looking to be an early favorite, Kinda wish I had picked it instead. It closed 2016 at 13.29 and is already up to 17 (28% in 2 weeks is pretty impressive). I've been there with big loses before but don't let that cloud judgement on its current situation.

You still on this?
