You guys don't return much talent for next year though
Let's see:
Ragubumba was better than Peavy (just got second team)
Lanning at LB LOLOLOL (just got second team)
Wadley and Butler are better than Montgomery (just got first team)
Waggoner wouldn't be on the All Iowa team (just got second team)
Chase Allen sucks (just got second team)
Ferentz is better than CMC (just won Coach of the Year)
I'm sure the list could go on and on. Just think if the Big 12 had a third team like the Big Ten does then the list could get even longer!
Dude was one of the best blockers on the team, that's going relatively unnoticed thus far.Wait, Chase Allen had 4 catches for 39 yards and 0 TDs on the season and he made second team all Big 12?

That's what happens when you're an elite blocker. Allen was second team, will Fant even be all conference?
Dude caught one ball every three games. I think you're selling him short by calling him an "elite" blocker.
He was really really good blocking and the coaches took notice.
I take it Fant wasn't all conference?
Third team. In the B1G 486 yards and 10 TDs doesn't quite cut it for TEs.
Woof- I knew the Big XII was down this year, but Chase Allen? Lmao. Also feel bad for Harvey- he is actually a good player, but gets overshadowed by his clearly inferior teammate because he played a few snaps at QB.
So Allen was second team and didn't lose a game for his team and Fant was third team? Safe to say we can get rid of the "or" for next year's team
Clearly. Still confused though, if Allen was such an elite blocker why did Montgomery get recognized for having to break a zillion tackles this year?
For a good laugh I checked HN after the Campbell extension and DeanVogs didn't disappoint. Listed underclassmen on each two deep. In case you were wondering young and Kelly Martin are "way more talented" than Montgomery and Croney, and same goes for Smith Marsette and whatever other future Barnstormer tryout candidate he listed vs Butler and Jones.Your WR will probably be the worst in all P5 next year and I don't know who you have at RB but that won't matter if your OL is good
To be fair Allen wasn't in when DM broke 74 tackles on that TD run vs Iowa.Clearly. Still confused though, if Allen was such an elite blocker why did Montgomery get recognized for having to break a zillion tackles this year?
Because Allen can't block 11 guys. You had the best offensive lineman in the state and Montgomery still averaged more yards per carry than Wadley by a wide margin
Hats off to him. Maybe he'll catch a few passes next year.
Can only block 1, maybe 2 guys at a time. For Allen, that generally means at the line. Meanwhile, Montgomery can make 6 guys in the second and third levels miss... In a single play.Clearly. Still confused though, if Allen was such an elite blocker why did Montgomery get recognized for having to break a zillion tackles this year?

But realistically, TE simply isn't a position most Big XII teams have. It's sort of like QB in the Big10.
Definitely the best TE in the state
