When will Jacob Park return to ISU Football

I appreciate his hard work and wish him well in the future but his time with ISU football needs to end.

I wouldn't necessarily say that. I don't think he'd be guaranteed to get the starting job back but he's a talented player who would be worth having on the team if he can stay with us.

We've already played 4 different people at QB this year. Having Park push Zeb and be there to back him up would be a luxury.

If Park gets everything sorted out and wins the starting job, then he'll have earned it. We also know now that he doesn't have to carry the team for us to win and hopefully that can be impressed on him as well.

I'll say this, I think no matter what, Jacob doesn't play this year. So I'm not sure how valuable a senior winning the starting job would be next year.

Oh well, it doesn't really matter what I think. But it would be nice not to have drama this year at QB or next year.

Noland looked great vs OSU, but like most young QBs do, came back down to earth a bit vs Baylor. Park returning and starting next year would likely be a plus for ISU if Zeb isn't completely ready to take over.

I do think that Zeb is clearly ready to play QB for ISU, considering the situation. He has the look of a confident QB. However i'm just pumping the brakes a bit on him, due to his youth.

There seems to be a contingent of Cyclone fans that are content to throw Park under the bus. And a misconception that he "quit on the team" and left us in the lurch. I have a feeling if Park could have been out there playing he would have and that whatever happened was serious enough to merit the hiatus.

The kid worked his butt off like the rest of the team and I hope he's back in time to travel to the bowl game, even if he doesn't play.

I'd like Park back to at least push Zeb. Having two very good QBs on the roster is rarely a bad thing and competition will be good for them both.

And like I said before, we've played 4 different QBs this year. It will be nice to have at least two known commodities out there next year.

If Park is back and in his right mind a senior Park is better than a sophomore Zeb. It also would give Zeb a chance to grow.

I don't think he should be playing this year but I'm taking a hard pass on going into next year with a RS So and two guys who have had a combined two springs of activity at this level and I find it highly doubtful we're going to find a grad transfer the equivalent of Park in ability, not to mention Park's been here and knows the system. If he earns his way back to playing, all the better.

It will be a good competition to be sure. Park has great arm talent, but Zeb has shown a lot of poise and ability for a young player. He might be a better fit for what the offense wants to run since we've been pretty successful post Park.

I'd love to see them both slinging it out there though, and may the best QB win!

Yep. We need as much talent as we can get on the team next year.

I've been happy with all quarterbacks this season but would prefer seeing a healthy trouble-free Park starting for us next year

I'd like to see a healthy, trouble-free Park get beat out by Zeb, but that just means Zeb is playing THAT well.

Edit: GRAMMAR!

This is ridiculously stupid. We should probably bench Donovan Jackson because Lewis or Long really could use the experience. Winning be damned and all but we should be better next year if Jackson isn't taking up valuable developmental minutes.

Probably should've passed on having Lanning be a linebacker for a year as well. I mean, someone younger could've stepped into the spot and we'd have been better off in the long run. Yeah we might not have won a couple games but think about the games we'd win in the future with all that extra experience!
