Can we talk about Nebraska?...

If you’re Scott Frost do you choose:

Florida: Great weather, tons of top recruits within spitting distance, beaches, babes, babes with big boobs, babes with big fake boobs, and a program just waiting to explode in a good way

OR

Nebraska: Inconsistent, often crappy weather, no recruits within driving distance, hills, dust, sadness, “babes” with big BMI’s, and a program spinning in a circle like the tilt-a-wheel.

Rumor is he thinks doesnt want the Nebraska job because of the recruiting. In FL he can drive an hour and see many top players. There is none of that in Nebraska. Are there even many players coming out of Omaha anymore.

I have a pretty good feeling Sean gets the KSU job. Possibly one of the scenarios where Bill steps down a week prior to the first game next year and Sean "fills in" for the year, aka - a trial season.

What about Bielema taking that job. Seems like a nice place to go to rebound for a few years. Plus it would be fun kicking his ass for a few years.

Here is his quote from after the Northwestern game.
“There’s no reasonable reason — considering where the defensive program was at — to believe that they should be able to do everything that needs to be done in the game, to win the game. The strain was spectacular, right? So we could just go back and look at the game. Do you see the strain? Do you see it, or no? Is it just something I’m missing? You can’t play the game like that and win. Right? So the things happened in the game created an impossible circumstance to win.”

Wat?

Jim McElwain will end up somewhere too. The fact he hates the forward pass may make him an ideal candidate at Nebraska.

He actually seems like the most realistic name they could land and would be a good fit scheme wise. Personally, I'd enjoy having someone that hateable on the Husker sidelines again.

The story today on the radio from a former player/radio host is that former AD Eichorst forced or pushed Riley into making a DC switch to Diaco over the offseason. Then Eichorst called Diaco the best coach of any sport/position at NU and encoraged other coaches to view his practices/pick his brain.

Looks like NU brass started with Eichorst on the chopping block. No idea if Riley survives since the damage is already done, but seems to offer some perspective of whats going on there.

Eichorst's son was also arrested Nov 4th for sexual assualt on a minor. According to wife of Omaha Cy (credible source!) the son was claiming it was consensual but the minor was 12 (?). Perhaps the NU brass also had details on the case being made vs Eichorst's son and the firing was a really easy decision to distance themselves from that mess. And he also is to blame for losing Nu's black friday game as well.

2 shoddy ADs have really crippled NU's football program the last 15+ years. Pollard probably needs a raise!

There is no way Riley survives after that beat down Minny issued. Dead man walking.

Yup, giving up a thousand points to the offensively challenged Gophers was probably head exploding for the Husker athletic department and fans. Gophers came into that game averaging less than 19 points a game in conference play.

Nebraska will, and already is pushing hard for Scott Frost.

I expect Reilly to be fired the day after the season is over, with the new coach announced the following day. If the announcement is delayed, then maybe they are waiting on Frost. Probably telling him they're still loading the bus with red cash.

Nothing to gain by keeping him. Should just can him and Diaco now and say it's so the seniors can have a positive end to their careers.

I actually think he would be a really good hire for the bug eaters. I would take his time at Arkansas with a grain of salt. Arkansas is the odd man out in the SEC east and you have to lure kids out of Texas for the Hogs to be competitive. With the emergence of TCU and even Baylor it's tough to pull enough talent out of Texas.

Nebby is 4-6...

Wins against...Arkansas State, Illinois, Rutgers, and Purdue. The equivalent of wins against Toledo, Kansas, Baylor and TTech. How the mighty have fallen...

Riley is just marking time now until the axe falls.
