OU handily beat tOSU at their place.
Iowa embarrassed tOSU handing Urb his biggest loss EVAR.

ISU beat OU and tied Iowa in regulation. But to a man the CFB committee would tell you tOSU is much better than Iowa State. Why? Because they say so.

Alabama is #1. Why? Because they say so.

A College Football Playoff that doesn't permit each P5 champ to participate isn't a playoff.

It's possible that THREE P5 conferences will be excluded from this farce.

Georgia is actually #1. I think they are doing a good job this year, like how they have Wisconsin at 8 . Last year or year before wisconsin being 9-0 they'd be in the top 5

<SIGH>

LETS TAKE THE TOP 8, GOSH DARN-IT!
Actually, the "top 8" doesn't work either if those top eight are determined by opinions. The P5 winners plus three at large would work. Hopefully with the traditional Jan 1 Bowls being the first round.

Why is Alabama ranked over OU?

Well, Alabama is the best team with anyone that has eyes and watched them play. Rankings be damned. OSU has 2 losses and ISU has 3 so that comparison seems strange.
It does bother me they are trying their best to exclude the B12 again this year.

I personally think 5 Conf Champs, Top ranked G5 conference champ, two at large bids. Make the most sense.

UCF should not be ranked where they are. Should be 12-14 range.

I don't think so at all. You've got the best 4 programs at the top, followed by two Big12 Schools. Obviously OU and TCU will play each other at least once this season, which will drop one out. I think has a test this weekend against Auburn. If they lose there, they drop out. If they lose to Alabama, they drop out. Oklahoma controls their destiny this year. Win out and you're in.

My question is...Just 2 weeks ago the analysts were saying that ISU is 14th because we had 2 bad losses to Iowa and Texas.

So Iowa beats/murders OSU by 31 points...OSU drops 2 spots... So, now loosing to Iowa isnt a bad thing? I dont understand.

12 teams. First 4 get byes, next four get home games right after CCG. Top 4 then get home games and then you reorganize into the current bowl system. This can all get done by the time the playoff games were occurring.

Is this the CFP you want? I'd rather each P5 champ be afforded the opportunity to settle it on the field...if we're calling it a playoff.

I don't care about conferences. The Pac 12 stinks. They shouldn't have any team in any sort of a playoff.

Give me the best x teams.

I think the top 4 are right as of right now. A lot of that will be sorted out as well.

So, the SEC is better? How do you know?

Expand the playoffs to 8 teams, each P5 conference champ gets an automatic bid, remaining 3 spots are "wild cards" which are at large selections. A lot less drama, more money to be made, every conference is happy. But this won't happen because it makes too much sense.
