In memoriam of Brian Ferentz as Iowa's OC

Because you have no depth on the OL. ISU is going to play Saturday down two starters from the beginning of the season and I'm sure Montgomery will do just fine. Going out and getting Josh Knipfel was so big for us, not sure why you guys ignore JUCO kids when you miss on a bunch of HS kids.

We dont ignore them. We dont pursue a huge number of them though.

We have a JUCO DT committed that has a Bama offer that is going to be on campus in January.

We were in on Anthony McKinney until the end.

Because we have been playing without our starting OT's for pretty much the entire year.

Its been mix and match up front with no opportunity to develop any continuity. Boone Myers tried going but was moved inside for some reps early in the year and now is out at least until the bowl game. Boettger went down with an achilles tear in the 3rd or 4th game. They tried experimenting with Welsh at RT when his natural position is guard and finally threw Wirfs out there 2 games ago to start.

Not to mention Daniels missed a full game early in the year as well.

Wow, what an excuse machine you have become. The butthurt is strong in this one.

What part of my post is butthurt or not true?

Fact is, Iowa has had a large portion of their OL either hurt of playing out of position pretty much all year.

The JUCO kid was a HS kid that signed and didn't qualify you didn't recruit him as a JUCO. You guys pretty much ignore that side of thing

Want to put a hundy on that? He's going to Bama

Also, second place for a recruit? Man, what kind of Joe Moore award do you get for that?

Isnt Iowa like Oline U? Didn't they get an award last year for having an amazing line? Isnt it a just put the next guy in they are all good type of deal?

Anybody know what call got him so angry the Kinnick staff thought they needed law Enforcement to protect the replay refs?
Replay overruled a non fumble call on the field, awarding possession to Minnesota. The replay ref made the correct call, and it wasn't really debatable. Most Hawk fans even agreed with the changed call.

No
Yes
No, not sure who would have said that

Yes, to judge the ability of an OC after 8 games with a brand new QB, brand new WR's and an OL that lost both of its starting senior tackles for the season is a little asinine.

Since you are happy with him I am ecstatic. When do you start blaming O'Queef again?

Brain's tantrum apparently will be swept under the rug...

I would expect the conference to come out and publicly reprimand him. KF addressed it after the game and will probably do so today during his weekly presser.

What were you expecting? A suspension?
