Listen I hate Iowa probably more than most people, but why is this a story. He's a football coach, of course he is going to swear and yell. Plus he's in the coaches box, he should be able to yell and say whatever the hell he wants.

I don't see why this is even a story.

He wasn't in the coaches box, he was out of it and on his way down the elevator. Saw another article that said there was security outside the replay officials box right before the start of the second half which leads me to believe his tirade was towards the replay officials so much that they thought they needed security.

I still think it's a non-issue. But he is a DB.

We used to have a nickname for coach Skladany here at ISU "ice pick" because we thought he was a psycho and was going to kill someone (the nickname was taken from the ice pick seen of the movie Basic Instinct). I heard some of the worst things I've ever heard from him (and that's saying a lot) and even got hit by a clip board he threw at me. I look back on it now and it's hilarious.

I’m still furious to this day about how he ALWAYS insisted on playing his defensive backs 12 yards off the ball every play.

Daddy probably told him he was coaching in the booth to confine him, now he may not be sure what to do. May figure the wall and replay officials are better than him or another assistant.

Wonder what Barta will do? When Franny went psycho on the refs several times, Barta had to attend to it. You now have a coach who has punched a wall and went crazy where others felt security needed to be involved. Barta has to address this with an assistant.

Just realized this was at Kinnick, so Iowa's own athletic Dept was so concerned that they stationed security. Figured it was Minny

He’s been a mediocre OC and has well known anger issues, but as long as he uses that rage to get his team pumped for the Iowa State game the hawks will not fire him.
