How is that disrespectful to ISU players, He is just giving an opinion?
Stating an absolute statement isn't an opinion. An opinion would be "I think he's gone at (fill in the blank when), not "He's gone".

An absolute statement is still an opinion. Herbstret isn’t a psychic, it is all an opinion.

Herby made it sound a lot like it was a "now" thing, when the only projected jobs I see coming available are maybe for 'better' schools but also ones with notably angrier fanbases and teams not looking up at this moment. When ISU is upward-looking, fully done by Campbell's work, already in a P5 with great new facilities and an AD willing to throw money at them, what does another school have to offer that makes him leaving this all behind worthwhile? not like Alabama or Ohio State are looking for a new coach after this season -- places like Tennessee, Nebraska, A&M, Tech might be. They don't have much to offer that ISU can't already match. None of those jobs sound real fun to me, versus staying at a self-built winner who is basically guaranteed to throw more money your way after this season. You might now like it, but it is his opinion. That is the nature of coaches. Clone fans didn’t “disrespected” Toledo by assuming he would automatically leave for a better job, well the rest of the nation thinks he will leave again for a better job than ISU and this isn’t disrespect either.

You're right about him not being a psychic. However, he is in a media position where people take what he says as fact. His statement also assumes Campbell is already overlooking the rest of the season for greener pastures. Campbell took this as disrespect, not ISU fans. When a statement is made about you, you are allowed to feel disrespected and call out the person who made the statement. An absolute statement is still an opinion. Herbstret isn’t a psychic, it is all an opinion.

Not to mention the nearly $10MM it will cost a school to poach him this season.
You really struggled typing this, but you don't see any difference in the two situations?
