He would be a decent utility guy as he can play all 4 infield positions but mainly they wanted to keep him from going to Arizona since O-Dogg got hurt.

OK - that makes sense. I didn't understand why they'd want another player as a utility infielder. Nomar is back, Kent says he's going to try to play every day (now if he'd just keep his mouth shut every day), and they've got Loney and Blake at the corners. i even read the other day they were working Blake at 2nd.

The Dodger's need pitching. Looks like Penny is out for the year - or at least the regular season. Relief has been costing them big lately - three games blown since the San Francisco series, and almost a fourth.
