*RUMOR* why is Park taking a leave of absence?

"...it looks like Park didn't make the trip to Norman, and that makes it obvious."

Whoa. So...stupid.

This is not hard. Here are the three things you need to do:
(1) don't do drugs
(2) don't beat up women
(3) don't riot at VIESHA and accept dismantled stop signs from strangers to hold up in the air *

Follow those minimum limits and you can get (a) a free college education and (b) possibly a chance to support your family playing a game! If not, at least (a).

*If (3), you might still get to do (b), but you will deprive fans of the opportunity to watch you along along the way

A Friday night in Ames, and no one to report to the next day? Somewhere in
Ames tonight, there's gonna be a hella big party, with Park in attendance.

Team rule? It’s a banned substance by the USA, the state of Iowa and the NCAA. Team rules look a little silly in comparison.

I’m on board with some legalization but until then, follow the damn laws and rules.
Sort of why I said it's not the legality of it in response to a suggestion that it should be legalized. It could be 100% legal, but if it's a team rule, you follow the rules.

I’d guess the only reason it would be a team rule is the legality aspect.

So has someone confirmed he didn’t go and isn’t playing?

There are multiple aspects here, and I don't think the team rules aspect is silly, because it is a good barometer to see who is really on board and who isn't. It should be a relatively minor and easy-to-fulfill requirement to put the weed down for awhile for the good of the team (unless there is a dependency problem). If a guy, particularly one who is integral to the team, isn't willing to do that, it seems to me like that would just be giving a figurative middle finger to the whole program.
