*RUMOR* why is Park taking a leave of absence?

Why would Kempt start instead of Noland? I'm starting to lose faith in this coaching staff.
Maybe they feel that as a more veteran player, Kempt will handle the situation better. Noland is a RS FR who spent his redshirt year recuperating. Pretty tough spot to throw him in to.

Not speculating, just posting again what I know. Not clear what Park’s suspension is for. It will just be labeled as a violation of team rules and there probably won’t be more clarity beyond that. Suspension is for one game. He is suspended for the game, but not from the team. Still practicing. Kyle Kempt will start but it is expected that Noland will also get some snaps is what I have gathered from my sources.

Guys -

I haven't had a chance to read through this entire thread but as of last night, Campbell was still in the decision making process as to how exactly this would play out. Based off of what I know, there's a ton of smoke behind Park not playing tomorrow and possibly not even making the trip.

IF that happens, and that still a big IF as I haven't been able to confirm anything on the record, my GUESS is that we see some sort of a quarterback combination in Norman. Not sure how fair it is to start Zeb in Norman. It's gonna get wild if this thing plays out the way I think it might.

Again, I want to reiterate that I'm not "reporting" any of just. Just what I am hearing. We'll see. Should know more when the team leaves here in a few hours.

Thanks Chris.

They better have a very short leash on Kempt, we're going to need someone that can scramble. Kyle isn't much of one.

...but when Coach Campbell responded to Birch's inquiry, on which syllable of "suspended" did he put the emphasis?

Look at that. I wasn’t just making sh1t up like so many said I was

Oh JFC. Oklahoma wouldn't prepare differently if Tom Brady was our QB. He comes with information that a board like this is interested in. I don't think Oklahoma coaches are scouring the board trying to see if it's Noland, Kempt, Park or Lanning.

You mean like Tommy Birch reading this and then asking the coach if Park was supended? OU coaches may not "scour" this site, but sure seems like newspaper reporters do.

What have you seen from Noland that makes you think he's the better option? Because he's higher rated? You might be in over your head..

Noland should be better since he should be our starting QB in 2 years. But obviously throwing him out there tomorrow would be rough.

If true, he certainly won’t be taking practice snaps. Those will go towards getting the other guys ready to play.

He’s not going to magically fix his mechanics mid season during a week he takes off. I think that’s a bit of a misnomer anyway. Quite frankly given his age I think he mostly is what he is at this point.

His mechanics are not different than a golf swing. Minor, subtle changes have huge impacts and very few of us can make those changes in battle. Park is not done developing as a QB so quit trying to drag the next wunderkind in.

you all act like it makes a difference who starts at QB...this will be a slow steady crushing with limited play calling beyond...Montgomery left...Warren right...Montgomery right...Warren left...I feel terrible for the RBs...they know the train they are about to collide with and can't get out of the way
