China about has the US doubled up 35-19. Good showing from the hosts.

OVERALL medal count has the US with a 4 medal lead.

Seems like with that many medals, they should be winning a proportionate amount of silver or bronze medals. I know it's a bit presumptuous to be claiming bias here, but it does seem odd that China is winning all the gold medals, but very little of the others...

We should start separating them once the team medals start getting awarded. China is so good in events such as gymnastics, diving, table tennis, and badminton and these events are almost all finished up.

We should really separate also with track & field as we definately have one of the best track teams in the olympics and should multi medal in a lot of the same events!

China's gold count (35):
8 - Weightlifting
5 - Shooting, Gymnastics, Diving
3 - Badminton, Judo
1 - Swimming, Wrestling, Archery, Fencing, Rowing, Table Tennis

USA's gold count (19):
12 - Swimming
2 - Shooting
1 - Fencing, Gymnastics, Rowing, Cycling, Tennis

Whether the scoring is subjective or not, we are getting stomped. As for making it up in track... Not going to happen. We should increase our overall medal count lead, though.

Thats stupid.

Judges are from all around the world, not Chinese judges so it shouldn't be a factor.
hows that stupid? seriously, womens weightlifting, judo, syncronized diving... would you actually want to sit around and watch that crap? i would much rather watch swimming, track, and our basketball team kickin ***

So of the Chinese medals Judo, Gymnastics, Diving and Wrestling are the only ones that have any arbitrary scoring, right?

Shooting also. There was one event where the judges were ruling hits that were not even close. I could find the article, but I am too lazy atm. Look it up if you want.

As for judges from other countries: The French skating judge ruined the SLC Olympics, and none of that included the host country. Judge fixing can and does happen. I am not saying that is responsible for China's gold medal lead. It does sort of defy what should be the normal statistical distribution. C'mon some engineer, explain it to us.
