Rumor overhead about Louisville

Jacobson will be solid, I know its a lower level of competition but he was in the top 10 in the b1g in rebounding last year, at minimum, that should translate to a good role player in the big 12.

He is a role player. Every team needs role players. Jacobson isn’t an impact guy though.

Wow, you are desperate to call Bowie a “good transfer”, that you will even say a guy who Wagner > than was good. Yikes!

I mean you wanna judge players on PPG now? Then JBo > Shayok?

I don't get how Bowie sucks but Wagner doesn't especially considering Wagner started for you guys

Wagner started for Iowa

Exactly.

Haha.

All joking aside, Bowie started for like 25% of the season last year.

Wagner averaged 4pts and 16mins.

Bowie averaged 6pts and 17mins.

They are not incomparable on the whole based on those metrics.

Yep, neither was good. For some reason @CyTwins is hell bent on claiming Bowie was some sort of recruiting success story.

I didn’t post the rumor, I said it was on the main board.

I don’t have an opinion of Prohm yet really. This will be the first year he has played with his guys instead of Hoibergs guys. He seems like he is recruiting HS kids well, but won’t have a decent transfer playing until year 4 (Shayok).

Any fears on the Main board that Wiggington was bought off to come to Ames? Just seems out of nowhere Prohm lands a top 35 recruit, when he hasn’t even landed a top 100 player before.

My Bother is a manager for East Tennessee under Forbes and he was telling me about Louisville's interest in Fran last Spring. Louisville was already looking around for new coaches after the sex scandal so I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Louisville reach out to Fran

This will fix all of Louisville's problems. Still not convinced 9 exists.

So your brother is Jason?

Would be a fresh start for Louisville, as he has that self initiated reputation for 'doing things the right way.'

Im not sure breaking chairs, breaking clipboards, not shaking hands after games is really doing it the right way. I guess it is a step up from getting hookers for recruits.

I really don't think Louisville fans would settle for being in the NIT or play in game ever year.

Iowa is a sub-par program, so making like 2 NCAA tournaments at Iowa is the equivalent to making the sweet 16 at superior programs.

Do you think Wagner sucks?

Wagner was a role player last year. I’m not gonna say a Hawk role player sucks though. I also won’t brag about him as being some recruiting “win” either.

Bowie was a clear miss, and the Clones would have been better last year if Prohm could have brought in someone better than just the role playing Bowie. ISU has a huge need inside and Prohm failed to bring in a guy who could actually make an impact there.

How was Bowie a "clear miss" but Wagner wasn't? I don't think anyone is bragging about Bowie. He was very important down the stretch but he was what he was which was a one year rental that had a role o nthe team.
