***OFFICIAL IOWA/ISU WEEK THREAD***

Why did u wait to bet? Could have got it at 1.5, 2 or 2.5 earlier in the week. No way you took Iowa, and if you did you are an idiot for not getting it at 1.5.

The guy I go through gives it to me at wherever it closes out which at times can be bad but other times its saved me

Same. I thought we would have to start 3-0 to hit 6 wins. Maybe I'm just too pessimistic, I dont know.

Bottom of the Big12 is really bad. Kansas, Baylor, Tech are all really bad. That is 5 wins right there with a win over Akron. Just beat a pretty bad Texas team or beat just one team with a pulse and you are bowling.

Weren't you the one parroting that ISU wouldn't get over 24 points?

I think we all had our fair share of off-kilter predictions for this game.

But he predicted an Iowa win and then after says he finds it disheartening. That doesnt make sense.

He was expecting Iowa to win.

Your guy is genius then. He is playing you like a ***** if he doesn't let you jump in on a line that is a obvious no brainer. You have to wait until the market corrects the bad spread. You need a different book, he is ripping you off.

We have both of Baylor and Tech on the road later in the season, giving their teams time to develop. I'm not chalking those two up in the W column just yet. Or, at least not Tech. Baylor is pretty close to the W column, though... my goodness.

Kind of hard to be picky when I don't bet that often and it's convenient. I wish it wasn't that way but it is what it is.

Serious if CMC loses to a teams he beat last year, one being 66-10 that would be a big time step back.

You gotta start beating the the dregs of your conference. If you don't then you are the dregs of your conference.

Didn't Iowa beat Minnesota and then get smoked like 60-0 the following year? We that a big time step back for your program?

TT only has 1 game so far, so I don't know what to expect from them. Their game this week against ASU should be fairly telling. I'm concerned about getting into a shootout with a team like them at their place (although, like you said, we held a Heisman-level QB and his team to 10 points last year -- I can't imagine they would be "better" this year).

Fail. You see ISU secondary play every week, and they were the worst unit on the field. Nate Stanley (who you said and say sucks) and a bunch of WR ( who wouldn't even play at ISU according to Clone fans) destroyed the ISU secondary. You might want to start worrying about what a really QB and WR is gonna do to that secondary.
You do realize BOTH our starting safeties were out with injuries, right? Wilkerson did not play at all and Kamari Cotton-Moya left in the 2nd quarter with an injury. Adding to that, one of our linebackers was suspended. I know you don't understand this, since Kilmer would have had the suspended player come back for the superbowl and played the other two the full game while injured. ISU defense at full strength might just have been the difference needed to tip this one over in our favor.

Good Lord you guys are full of excuses. Develop some depth then. Iowa lost their starting RT, and last years starting LT still isn't fully healthy.

Nobody takes you seriously troll. You said Montgomery would be 5th string at Iowa in a serious thread

Hayden Fry's first year and Iowa lost a close battle to #3 Oklahoma on the road and Fry would not put up with any moral victories. Fry changed the Iowa culture by not accepting losing. I thought Campbell was trying to do the same thing? Guess he has a long ways to go.
Haden Frye changed the culture by never scheduling an out of conference foe equivalent to OU ever again. That's how he changed the culture.
His 1st year he played ISU & OU yet Iowa won't do so now. Pretty telling.
