Lol, it should have been even worse. Iowa got 4 receivers behind the ISU secondary and we didn't hit any of them. A running football team, who hadn't throw for over 125 yards in 4 of the last 5 games destroyed your secondary.

Also Spears played a good game. Brian completely and totally abused Lanning. I don't blame Lanning, he is a tough kid being a good teammate. I blame CMC for having to play a QB at MLB and leaving him to be abused like that.

We abused your CB all day. We got over the top of your safeties 4 times, it was a bad showing.

You don't have only 4 players in coverage, you have 7 on most plays. Your coverage is gonna get shredded by Big12 offenses if Iowa can do it.

We absolutely left 4 in coverage against Iowa, often. We sold out hard on the run for much of the game. If Stanley hits the big money throws, Iowa woulda won by 21+.

Best QB Iowa ever produced has 3 ISU QBs who had better pro careers than he did. None hold a candle to Warner from UNI, but now CJ Beathard will be the next Tom Brady since I made this post. So you are welcome Hockeye fans.

Montgomery got the best of Iowa's defense on that play no doubt and he ran over Jewell to get the TD. Very impressive run. I wonder if he was gassed after that run, cause he didn't run like that the rest of the game.

I don't think so. His next run he had after that after that he laid the hammer and got 9 yards on one he probably should have gotten 3-4.

Most of that was dump downs against ISU's LBers.

Probably half of his passes were less than 10 yards in the air. That says a lot about your secondaries tackling ability.
