***OFFICIAL IOWA/ISU WEEK THREAD***

Iowa things that stuck out to me, Stanley will be in trouble against teams with good d ends and linebackers. Was not impressed with him, wadley and others made him look better than he is. Deep ball was horrendous. We had no reason to have anybody farther than 10-15 yards down field. Iowa is slow, let me resay that Iowa is SLOW. Ohio State and Penn State will go nuts on Iowa. Any run outside the tackles went backwards as our guys just flew to any stretch plays. Need to stay downhill with this group.

We can't drop that many passes, was the game changer. In 1 1/2 years, coach has got the offense pieced together decently. Give him two more recruiting classes (still only 3 full ones for him) and he has this team above any of our last 5-6 coaches.

Deep ball will likely get better as he matures. He's a true sophomore w/o much game experience. I think he'll be fine, plus he made some awfully good touch throws in the south end zone.

How is Iowa slow? They obviously have a TE and WRs that can get behind the defense and once they got out of their base 4-3 defense, they were the much faster team on the field. They've got some young DBs but overall they played well. Had a could mistakes over the middle. One slipped but that happens, the other was a safety who go caught peeking into the backfield way too long. Parker probably was a little too stubborn in clinging onto his base 4-3 but they seemed to get results everytime they went nickel/dime and put their pass rushers in.

I personally am giving Stanley credit. He did what I thought he couldn't and that was the difference in the game. With that said, Wadkey won't be there to save you next year. We are very close to becoming the better program. You can see the change happening. Next year won't be close, and considering we have the better coach and our recruiting momentum, we may not lose this game again for awhile. The future is bright.
Keep being a goober with your idiotic predictions-pure entertainment. Lol

And this is the proof of how delusional hawk fans are.

I thought Iowa's secondary looked like they were playing in concrete shoes.

You think Park is going pro after this year?

It's a long time until the end of the season. Of course I have no idea. I don't know him. However, he's playing well. If he continues to play this well, who knows. He's an NFL type QB. Big guy with a live arm.

Again, I was dead on with 38 points, and many thought that was ridiculous. I just underestimated Stanley because he looked terrible week 1. We were just too overconfident in the secondary and didn't think he actually could or would throw and we got burnt.

Ok-score one good point for the ISU goober-1out of 100.

I like the guys CMC is recruiting better than what KF is recruiting. Plus I think CMC is a better coach on game day.
Too bad a first year OC out coached you guys- too bad all that emphasis on this game got you a loss. Maybe someday....

You guys put as much or more emphasis on this game. And we did not get out coached by lil' Ferentz. We had you beaten until a fluke interception and some poor officiating got in the way.

This isn't o'keefes first year, so don't lie. He was at Iowa for many years before he left. Unless you mean Polasek was telling free housing fererntz what plays to call, he know he was OC at NDSU for a few years, but still wasn't first year.

Those are loser excuses-are you going to tell your mom if I don't agree with you? Lol

I knew you would use the officials as an excuse for a loss when Iowa beat you. Pretty typical.

lol I never said that's why we lost, I said it took a few things at the end for you guys to make a comeback. A couple of no-calls went your way, a fluke interception, we missed some easy tackles, and I wish we wouldn't have gotten so conservative. But I have posted here several times saying that Iowa deserves credit. They passed much better than I thought they could.

Honest question, it is long winded so stay with me.

You said Iowa would struggle without CJ. You say the Iowa receivers are terrible, and you said the ISU secondary was good. You claimed ISU would destroy Iowa 38-17.

How can you say all that and not think the Iowa coaches absolutely ran circles around the ISU defensive staff at the very least. Here are Iowas last 5 games passings yardages: 125, 55, 144, 80, and 66. Iowa put up 333 yards and 5 TD. Sorry man, but Brain coached circles around your Defensive staff.

You could say the same about your offensive staff over our defensive staff as well, but Iowa had to play a game that was 180 degrees out of the norm for them. They played ISU’s game and still beat them in Ames no less. Id say that is getting out coached.

What were Iowa's rushing numbers the last 5 games?
