Here is some info I saw on another siteTell this to CyTwins-fits his narrative perfectly
I can understand you wanting to be a follower and not having the mental capacity to be a leader. Most hok fans don't have the mental capacity to be leaders and are stuck following the crowd.I ask @CyTwins to drop the idiotic Super Bowl stuff the week. He refuses, so I'm just following his lead.
Little brother syndrome, he hasIt's interesting that even if the Hawkeyes win, you'd rather spend your time on a Cyclone site.

Years iowa wins 8+ games they are 8-1 against iSu
Years iowa wins 7 or less they are 1-8
The reality is...the better team wins. Anyone from either side claiming Superbowl is an idiot.
There is no superhuman effort. Sure there are upsets. Sure teams play bad and teams play good but that is not the case in this series and never has been the case in this series
Which means iSu was better. Or with the exception of 2 of those wins(12',14')...iSu was playing at home and that was the edge. The reality is that in years Iowa is better, they usually win. In the years that ISU is better they win. In the years where the teams are even, ISU wins. ISU has pretty much won every year where the teams were close to equal.
Which means iSu was better. Or with the exception of 2 of those wins(12',14')...iSu was playing at home and that was the edge.
OR it could mean that iowa wasn't as good as their record and benefited from playing easier teams. See 2014 where the only team they beat with a winning record was UNI
So really the only unexplainable game was 2012 when iSu went 2-10 and iowa went 4-8 and the two teams had a pillow fight that led to a 9-6 victory in Kinik.
Actually if you look at statistical margin of error...you could argue maybe two of those years. Which is what I have said all along. I know math is hard when you don't have the cash machine doing it for you.Jeff Sagarin seems to differ with you.
16 - 34/57 Iowa, Iowa won
15 - 22/67 Iowa, Iowa won
14 - 47/105 Iowa, ISU won
13 - 32/72 Iowa, Iowa won
12 - 70/55 ISU, ISU won
11 - 45/43 ISU, ISU won
10 - 21/65 Iowa, Iowa won
09 - 9/66 Iowa, Iowa won
08 - 22/114 Iowa, Iowa won
07 - 79/92 Iowa, ISU won
06 - 51/90 Iowa, Iowa won
05 - 26/30 Iowa, ISU won
04 - 12/52 Iowa, Iowa won
03 - 9/106 Iowa, Iowa won
02 - 8/35 Iowa, ISU won
01 - 31/40 Iowa, ISU won
00 - 76/28 ISU, ISU won
99 - 97/68 ISU, ISU won

Even then, look at 2002. iSu was playing very well early in the season. We all know that. That game is one were every end of the year statistic shows that iowa should have won. Any intelligent fan knows iSu was playing at a very high level the first half of the season but fell apart with injuries and OU gave people a game plan on how to beat Seneca...blitz, blitz, blitz.
And like I pointed out...throw in home field advanatage and there you go.
Your logic is greatly flawed... If iSu wins every close game that means if they played 18 games, using logic and historical statistics...iSu would win all 18.And my point still stands. ISU has won pretty much every 50/50 game by very slim margins.
Put it this way. You play the same 18 games again and I would think that the best ISU could do was win 9. Worse Iowa could do was win 9.
Not surprising. This is much more likely than 30-10 like that other dude picked.http://www.espn.com/blog/ncfnation/...cks-who-wins-the-oklahoma-ohio-state-showdown
Both Big 12 bloggers from ESPN predicting an Iowa win. Lower scoring than most on here think as well.

You can't say...iSu would only win 9 because...well I say they would.

but they have won every one of them according to you. Statistically, that points to iSu simply being the better team. Not all of the 18 games have been close that pitted teams that were pretty equal. In the games that have, ISU has won by very slim margins.

Seriously dude. If hoks finished with a similar record as the Cornhuskers for 9 years and beat the Cornhuskers every time by a small margin...you would be saying iowa was hands down the better team.
BTW-I left some info out
During the years Iowa finished with 8 or more wins, Iowa has a record of 8-1 vs Iowa State, with an average score of 31-14.
During years Iowa finishes with 7 or fewer wins, Iowa State holds an 8-1 record over Iowa, with an average score of 21-16.
If they played 18 again and iSu truly sees it as their Superbowl then I think iSu would probably win 15...because...well it is the Superbowl effect. And my point still stands. ISU has won pretty much every 50/50 game by very slim margins.

But ISU was not the better team every time they won. Was Iowa better than ISU in bball last year?
