***OFFICIAL IOWA/ISU WEEK THREAD***

23-20 ISU pulls out the win
I don't think the Wyoming team was a test at all for Iowa. Their quarterback may be good, but he has no one to back him up.
We have a good QB with LOTS of options on the field.
I think it will be a close game as the Iowa D line will keep our run game in check (Although I think Montgomery will break loose for a couple good runs), but I have a sneaky suspicion that our D line will also keep Wadley in check and our passing game will win us the game.

You gotta admit that some of the Derp around here over beating UNI is pretty funny. I guess I will never understand ISU fans confidence. Iowa beat Wyoming by 21, and at no point did it really look like Wyomings offense was a threat. This was a team that went to a Bowl game and received top 25 votes, and has a legit 1st Rd draft pick at QB. After that I'm more worried about the ISU game than I was going into that game.

Yet ISU beats UNI by 18 and you'd think they just beat OU by the confidence a lot of the ISU fans have now. Just weird to me as to where all that confidence is coming from?
Wyoming's offense sucks.

Three new starters at WR, a new starter at RB and three new starters on the OL including two TR FR.

Can you read?

This is the Iowa/ISU game week thread. The title doesnt say anything about game day.

Go find some less fortunate people to degrade, that is about the only thing you are good at.
Tough to find less fortunate than you

He might, and that is why breaking in a young QB is a tough deal. Park had some brutally bad games last year and Clone fans seem pretty high on him still?

Iowa 6/15, 79 yards 84.2 QB rate
TCU 7/15, 90 yards 97.1 QB rate
Oklahoma St 6/12, 93 yards 109.3 QB rate
Texas 7/13, 42 yards 87.7 QB rate
OU. 16/29, 160 yards 124.3 QB rate

Stanley 8/15 125 yards 176 QB rate

Ouch, that was some pretty brutal quarterback play for Park last year in his first year starting. So Stanley wasn’t great, but he certainly wasn’t Jacob Park bad.
Park, hadn't played football for a year, missed a lot of fall with illness, was splitting snaps with Lanning and had similar stats to your QB...Now that is kinda funny

AHF is just to troll Iowa fans. ANF actually meant something. Don’t be as ignorant as the fool afraid of homeless people. ANF was a big deal at the time, and it was a real Iowa crisis. Bringing awareness to a serious issue isn’t a bad thing.

Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Bill Northey also presented Fry with an award to say thanks for what he did.

"I was one of those young farmers in the 1980s, and I remember what a challenge that was," Northey told Fry. "I'm not sure it's possible to describe what putting the ANF decal on the helmets of your players meant."
It was marketing for the University of iowa If you think it was naything else you are a bigger idiot than I think you are.

Didn't say he won the game all himself. I said he outplayed Allen and he did. WB usually get too big of credit for wins and take too much blame for losses, that is pretty standard tho.
So then you are claiming the two QBs played agianst equal defenses? So Wyoming's defense is as good as iowa"s?

Because if Stanley outplayed Allen you would need to compare who they played against.

This. It's not the sticker itself. It's the fact that the fanbase touts the greatness of the gesture (and that's really ALL it was - a gesture), but simultaneously mocks ISU for its Ag programs.

But keep on thinking we hate supporting farmers, Mashup. It's a valiant (albeit misguided) effort...
It was not even a gesture. It was a marketing ploy and a damn good one. They sucked in a lot of farmers as fans with that marketing tool

You will always have crazy conspiracy nuts like you that see things that nobody else sees. To 99% of the rest of us, and to the media Ferentz has to defend why he doesn't get up for this game.

I'm sure next you will tell us the media and 99% of the world are nuts and that we never did land on the moon, or maybe the Lochness monster or Bigfoot exists in your world as well. The rest of us, the non crazies know the truth though. So keep howling at the moon like a lunatic, while Ferentz tries to convince us all he cares about ISU.
Are hok fans really rolling out the idiotic "superbowl" excuse. I thought results have proved time and time and time again that is a asinine, junior high excuse that has been de bunked for every year except possibly 2002.

It ranks right along with the myth that iowa plays better at the end of the year.

All myths to explain away losses for a fanbase who has never seen their team get beat...iowa is always better it is just the other teams "superbowl" said after every iSu, NW, Indiana, Minnesota loss
