***OFFICIAL IOWA/ISU WEEK THREAD***

First of all, Dresser, not JP, held an outdoor practice outside of Jack Trice in the tailgating lots. JP had nothing to do with it other than giving it the ok.

And Iowa held a wrestling meet inside Kinnick. It's not even close to the same thing.

Sure it is.

It'll be funny if ISU actually wins, and suddenly, there are no more hawk posters here for about two weeks or so.
Better yet, denying them the game and we'd be free year round. Unfortunately, it means too much to all the hawk fans around the state, of which unfortunately is a majority, that this game will always be played.

Except he isn't trolling. Learn the history of your program and you'll realize it's the truth. Don't be so insecure, at least it's helped you recover from that 20 year period without a winning record.

Only select Clone trolls believe this. Ferentz spent the press conference trying to convince the media he even cares about the ISU game.

Actually I'm thinking of doing the opposite. Maybe I'll exit if Iowa wins (I won't be able to stand all the excuses that will be thrown around). Conversely I'll stick around and eat crow if Iowa loses. It isn't like I have said Iowa is gonna destroy ISU, I think they could easily lose. Plus I picked ISU to make a Bowl Game, so I don't think ISU is horrible.

You must be young and naive. I don't care enough about Iowa to know what today's conversation was, but it's a proven fact that for nearly half a century this game has been Iowa's Super Bowl. As an Iowa State fan, I must admit it's a tad flattering, but mostly sad. It's also unfortunate we haven't historically matched the fervor, sans the DMac years. Once the Fry connection is gone with KF, I anticipate things will even up a bit. Unless, that is, KF's unhinged son takes over, which at that point it may be best to end the series as he's liable to do something highly regrettable.

Just leave now, you bring nothing to the table.

What's your perspective on ISU's strongest offensive players matching up with Iowa's least experienced defenders?

And Marvin McNutt confirmed just last night that the ISU was the top priority game on their schedule every year. He said they wanted to win that game more than any other.

So, yes, it's a hugely important game for both sides. Neither side can claim it's "just another game".

Interesting. Where did you see that?
