Iowa Football Recruiting

Our fan base has grown and become more loyal over the years. I remember the Mac days, but I also see the stadium rocking a lot of Saturdays every fall now. If we consistently won even 6 games, the place would be sold out every home game.
For once I agree with you-I applaud your fan base. I couldn't do that with such a crappy product that's put on the field.

So..... you are saying 10,000 (million is MM so I assume you just don't understand) but will give you 10 million tuned into the game, said oh iowa is playing and 4 million of those turned the channel??

When I said "the kick", I meant the game-winning field goal when Iowa knocked off #2 9-0 Michigan last year. So the game averaged 6.5M viewers, and peaked at the end of the game with 10M.

ISU won in front of 23k at Kansas on the same day. Nice win for you guys.

You got a link to that?

Awesome. So ISU has a ton of community college students living in their dorms. And you guys criticize Iowa for selling football tickets to them?

I would rather have community college living in the dorm, over seeing all the panhandlers and homeless people in Iowa City. Sorry to say, but it really left a lasting impression on me on Iowa City. We went to move our daughter into an apartment in the downtown area and the first thing you see are all the homeless people in the "historic downtown Iowa City". We were actually kinda worried about even getting out of our vehicle. Even going in on HWY 1, I saw five panhandlers within a mile! Not saying that Ames doesn't have any, but have never seen one in downtown Ames before driving down main street. Pretty sad, but at least you have the Hawkeyes!!

You are afraid enough to get out of your car because there are homeless people around?

Stereotype much?

So you dropped off your daughter to live somewhere that you feel is unsafe? You are either a liar or a terrible father. My money is on you are lying, you didn't feel unsafe or scared. If you did you wouldn't let your daughter live there. Plus I know your story is BS. Iowa City Is consistently ranked as top City to live in and is a beautiful community.

Can't get out of your car due to fear...hey kid, get on out. Enjoy the new digs.

You are a true piece of work!! Liar? Look in the mirror dude? You and your troll buddies are all alike. Let me guess you have never even been to Iowa City before either or ever been downtown. "I know your story is BS". Why would make up crap like this? Obviously you don't get out much. life. Yep, I forgot hawk fans think IC is made of gold!! So, the shootings in downtown over the weekend didn't happen either??? The best the about Iowa City? LEAVING!!!

My daughter and her friends were 21, legal age old enough to make, her own choices, unlike you, whose mom probably still has to wipe your nose and change your diaper.

"Iowa City Is consistently ranked as top City to live in and is a beautiful community". Link??

Enjoy you pathetic sheltered life!!

You are scared of 5 homeless people in a city, and you say I live a sheltered life?

I have lived in Iowa City and Ames. Both are good towns. I like Iowa City more because I am a Hawk fan and was surrounded by Hawk fans. Ames is a good town as well, and a good place to live. It seems as though you are very small minded and ignorant if you judge a whole city by what team plays there and that it actually had a whopping 5 homeless people there scaring you. Stick to your farm where you won't be disgusted by having to actually see the less fortunate in this world. I guess ignorance is bliss for you.
