AJ has been so impressive it Looks like Matt Nelson is full time at DT now. Matt was a stud recruit himself with offers from every P5 conference. ND, Stanford, Nebraska, Arkansas, Wisconsin. That DL is gonna be good!
Yes, went to Iowa for a chance to play because he know he had a better chance of getting on the field there. Never thought he would be a starter but then again that's how KF recruits that position.

I think it probably says just as much about the interior DL as it does the DE spot...
Being in the two deeps at WR for Iowa isn't impressive at all actually. You guys might have the worst P5 WR core in the country

I'd love to see who has said that Lanning as our starting MLB is a good sign for this year. I think pretty much everyone is skeptical about it.
You can take the "might" part out I'd say. And second worst isn't even close.
I've never said thats a good problem to have, ever. Skepticism abound about that whole ordeal. I think it's great that we get to continue to use Lanninng, great athlete, but it's absolutely a sucky problem to have in the first place.
No it doesn't. If Iowa wasn't loaded at DE, Matt stays at DE. This move is because of how loaded Iowa is at DE. He isn't the starter at DT, that is Latimore who is gonna be the next Iowa stud DT, just like Carl Davis, Jaleel Johnson, Ballard, etc. Iowa DT get drafted and make money in the NFL. ISU fans talked the same crap of Davis and Jaleel that some ISU fans are saying about Latimore. I remember ISU fans telling me Rodney freaking Coe > Carl Davis. Lol if you think Iowa DL or DT are weak.

Iowa is in good shape at DE it appears, but how can you say that you are confident in the interior DL? Lattimore is a promising looking DT but hasn't proven anything. There is a 260 lb back up in there, and a guy who was moved from DE. Bazata is a decent player but let's not get carried away. I have watched ISU move DE's inside because it appeared to be what you claim, with them being fine at DE, but are deficient on the interior.
It's no different for me with ISU. I am hopeful with the new talent that they can be improved, but I'll have to see it to believe it.
