Iowa's TE Kittle ran faster 40 than Lazard. Should move to TE

But if Kittle is fast, how fast does Lazard have to run to be not fast?

I mean, Kellen Winslow Jr. ran a fast 40 than Jerry Rice, but was Jerry Rice slow in your eyes? I'm curious as to what the cut off is for Lazard to be okay in your eyes.

So Lazard = Jerry Rice? Wow

Haha I knew you were going to say that, very predictable. But, I didn't say that at all, I was just using it comparatively. What would Lazard have run, in your eyes, for him to be "fast"

Again, not saying Lazard is this player, but Chad Johnson ran a 4.57. Would you call him slow? As he ran just .01 seconds faster than Lazard has on record for his average time.

Granted Kittle has elite speed for a TE. I would say if Lazard can't run at least run a 4.5 that is disappointing.

ISU just isn't used to having elite speed Like Iowa. McCarreon and T. Smith both ran a sub 4.4 Iowa's TE ran a 4.5, Daniels ran a 4.5 as well and King also posted a 4.5

If Lazard isn't faster than Iowa WR's, Power RB and its TE, I would say that probably doesn't bode well for Lazard.

Alright, good to know. His lowest on record as a junior is 4.48, so if he can get to that consistently you will think he can be legit? I think I got it.

Is that hand timed or electronic?
Not sure, but it is what was listed. Average time of 4.58, though.

But I was legit asking for reference as I know Allen isn't the fastest WR in college football, but the way he is talked about by you hawk fans, I would've thought he was well above 4.7.

in the NFL currently
  • Larry Fitzgerald - 4.63
  • DeAndre Hopkins - 4.57 (combine)
  • Brandon Marshall - 4.52
  • Dez Bryant - 4.52
  • AJ Green - 4.5
  • Doug Baldwin - 4.48
  • Antonio Brown - 4.47
  • Odell - 4.43
AB is awfully close to being a disappointment, it's too bad none of those guys could be elite cause they're so slow and don't have wonderful technique or good bodies or an IQ.

and 6 of those 20 for TD's. REDZONE THREAT!

Think if KF hires on OC that utilizes TE's Kittle probably gets picked in the first couple of rounds. I wonder if other teams use that against KF on the recruiting trail and how he hurts his players draft stock (Kittle, King, etc.)

If Lazard runs a legit 4.45 at a pro day or combine, then he will be drafted.

You don't have to have Elite speed to be a very good NFL WR. Let's face it though, Lazard has had issues with drops through his career. I don't think he is an NFL WR personally.

Okay that is fine, but this was specifically coming at his speed, no? I didn't see anything about his drops so I didn't realize that was a part of your argument on why he wouldn't be drafted. Understand now.

Getting players drafted is something KF and staff are very good at. Hard to argue with 65 players drafted since 99. How many have ISU and there smorgasbord of coaches had drafted in the same time period?

I'm just saying there are instances where he has or tried to cost players millions of dollars.

Didn't take long.
