Iowa's schedule is tougher, but nice try.
ISU's regular season schedule was a lot harder than Iowa's last year. That's not an opinion.

Why will our defense be improved? I'm hearing that a lot but losing our two best DL and replacing two lbs with guys that have never played defense in the big 12 isn't inspiring confidence. Now if you said our offense will be much improved then you're onto something.Against much better competition. And our defense will be much improved. It was better as the season progressed. Now in year 2, we will take a gig step forward.
Our offense is going to be one of the best in the Big 12. It's going to be very good. Defensively we just have more depth. We have an outstanding secondary, and a leader at LB who I believe will be a difference maker. Why will our defense be improved? It won't matter. You have no receivers and no QB. The box will be stacked and Butker will be worthless. Wadley may dance his way to a few yards here or there but it's going to be a long season. I honestly think we win more games than Iowa this year against a much tougher schedule.
Taking it a little too literal there. No real threat at QB or WR. Is that better?Interesting, I have never seen a team that didn't play a WR or QB on offense. Are they going with wildcat and just using TEs instead of WRs?

Lanning, but you already knew that.Who would that be?
you are literally being a d-bag.I can something be 'too' literal? Isn't it either literal or not?
you are literally being a d-bag.
honestly, as soon as I posted I thought, "that's a terrible use of the word literally".Hmmm. I don't think you know what 'literally' means...
38-17 Clones. Too much offense for Iowa State and too many question marks for Iowa.Speaking of the Iowa v. ISU game. I am excited for that one. Should be a good one again. Could be similar to the Steele Jantz year. I see it being an exciting game that goes down to the wire.

I bet he's smaller than Trevor RyenWow Wadley is tiny
I think it will be close as well.
My guess right now would be Iowa wins with a final score something like 27-21 or 31-24.

I expect to see a well coached team this year. It took awhile last year but you could start to see the change. After a full year in the program, a lot of this stuff will be cleaned up. Unlike CPR, CMC is a really good coach. I am very excited about the season. I think we get 6 or 7 wins, and if the ball bounces our way, I could even seeing us get 8 (although that is unlikely).I don't necessarily agree; I think iowa still wins. However, I find it very interesting that in none of these discussions....does the team discipline get brought up.
ISU was one of the more penalised teams in the country last year
During the Iowa game last year they had double the number of penalties called on them for over double the number of yards. Heck, I think at least three of those negated big first downs.
Until ISU can effectively teach its OLine that they can't try and catch passes, it's going to be a struggle
Actually you're right. In the first 2 games our oline had a stupid amount of penalties. After the line shake up (jp philbert) things started to run smooth. I don't see that slow of a start this year.I don't necessarily agree; I think iowa still wins.
