True, He isn't playing in the Big12 like Montgomery where you don't have to face a single top 50 defense all year long. It will be tough sleding, but the good thing is Butler has a great oline to run behind.
Against much better competition. And our defense will be much improved. It was better as the season progressed. Now in year 2, we will take a gig step forward.
It won't matter. You have no receivers and no QB. The box will be stacked and Butker will be worthless. Wadley may dance his way to a few yards here or there but it's going to be a long season. I honestly think we win more games than Iowa this year against a much tougher schedule.
Sagarin had Iowa and ISU right next to each other in SOS, like 32 and 33. Team rankings had Iowa's SOS being tougher than ISU's last year. But keep up the myths.
Lol, the little 10 is a joke. You have 4 tough games this year including playing at JTS. I suppose they all seem tough when you have no offense.
ISU's schedule isn't tougher this year and it wasn't tougher last year either.
Lanning would probably be the 2nd or 3rd best defensive player on the hoks. But keep doubting him, it will make it more fun when he embarrasses your team in a few weeks.
Whatever you need to tell yourself. Iowa would get pummeled in the Big 12
The BigTen was easily better than the Big12 last year. 4 Top 10 teams and Iowa played 3 of them.
The top was decent but overrated due to name brand. The bottom just sucked.
The top was really good, the middle was strong and the bottom sucked. Like all confrences. The bottom of the Big12 sucked really bad, Kansas, ISU and Tech were awful. Heck even Texas couldn't make a Bowl game. 40% of the Little 12 sucked and didn't make a Bowl game. 33% of the BigTen missed a Bowl game.
So clearly the bottom of the Little 12 sucked worse.
Iowa and Bama are both elite programs. You, and he, should be proud.
