Painting the basement stairway walls and ceiling, and downstairs office/shop and bathroom, in Cardinal and Gold. I'm not imaginative when it comes to decorating flourishes, hopefully to get some ideas here. Walls are gold.

Heh heh, found a Cardinal stool and sink online, not sure I can talk myself out of ordering. . . .

Maybe some football / bkb posters on the stairway walls? I'd like to "decoupage" them in place rather than frame them, but if we move in a couple of years, probably not a good idea.

I really like the Donnie Duncan football helmet graphic, I like it a lot. Thinking about painting that on a section of the wall. Sure would like to read about ideas if anyone here cares to share them.

I can see you're a fan & love your passion; however, if you ever sell, you will have some real restoration problems and maybe even turn off some potential non ISU fan buyers. Something for consideration. But hey, it's your house.

Agree. When we moved a few years ago, one of the houses we loved had a finished basement...finished in all hok stuff. Black and gold paint, the hawknose painted in several different locations, including the tile floor behind the bar. Needless to say, that house was quickly removed from our list.

My wife reminds me repeatedly of the point you make. The Gold walls look nice, and I can repaint the Cardinal areas with gold . . . that's my "marketing" plan, anyway. Maybe the stool and sink are too much. . . . (Although they are a nice, classy dark Cardinal.)

I wouldn't worry too much about the paint colors, those can easily be changed or worked around. I painted my basement a cardinal and gold (not exact ISU colors though), and it'd look nice and non-ISU without ISU decorations. I'd say paint it how you want and then add things that hang on the wall or sit on a shelf for the ISU flair, just don't do anything too permanent.

I'm still working on getting some stuff, but my main piece now is a Hilton panoramic from the Kansas game two years ago.

Can all you suggest online stores that have a decent array of things iSu, like graphics, art, and so on? Thanks.

Paint is cheap, and paint is easy. As long as you're not carving Cy into your hardwood floor, resale isn't much of an issue. Go for it.

I struggle to find cool ISU stuff that doesn't cost me a fortune. My ISU room is pretty tame.
