Hyde, King
OK a couple of things here. You said "most of Iowa's great corners" then proceed to list just two and did either of those guys ever even have a catch? I have no clue how you could determine their ability to play WR
Because they are elite athletes, they could have played WR no problem. The Iowa staff is elite at knowing where players should play and they correctly put them CB.
You might know more about ISU football than I know about Iowa basketball which is saying something. I still think you guys really missed the boat not offering Good-Jones.
Being an elite athlete doesn't mean you can play WR. Do you understand football? Lol this might be the dumbest thing I've ever heard
I am really comfortable with Iowa's OL depth going forward.
And all of them were recruited to Iowa a DB, including Rugamba, so I'm not even sure what your original point was?
I'm still confused how you are able to determine that most of Iowa's DB's could have played WR "no problem"
The same way you can determine that Ryen and Wadley are the same.
He had less tackles than Spencer Benton and Josh Jahlas. Came to Iowa as a WR but wasn't good enough to get in the rotation there since Iowa is loaded at that position
Iowa fans' optimism about Rugamba stems from how her performed when given the opportunity. Worked himself into the nickel back role as a true freshman, had a pick against Minnesota. Played in situations when Iowa went to 5 DB's until the Michigan game, when he started after Mabin hurt himself in practice. Played well there, had a key INT late to keep the game close. Got hurt in the finale against Nebraska.
He's still "unproven" in the sense that he hasn't played a ton, as is every college player until such time as they are proven. He'll get to prove it one way or the other this year. He has some physical tools, but like every player will need time on the field and the mistakes that go with it to get better.
It's not all about height when you're talking about CB size. Those guys have been routinely overwhelmed by more physical WR. Yes, they're kinda tall, but they haven't shown the strength, toughness, or ability to play against even average WR, let alone one of the top WR in CFB.
Those 19 tackles and 4 PBU's were pretty impressive!
Don't know what to tell you other than he hasn't played that much, hence I said he's unproven. In the snaps he has played, he has looked pretty good. But no one has any real idea what happens when he's playing every snap.
I heard Jacob Park puts on women's clothing, and hangs around in bars.

130. Sean Welsh, G, Iowa.
113. Allen Lazard, WR, Iowa State.
88. Akrum Wadley, RB, Iowa.
30. Josey Jewell, LB, Iowa.
I heard he wished he was a girly, just like his dear papa. He's a strange cat, so nothing would surprise me. Hell of a player though. He's got an NFL arm. We'll see if he can put it all together.
