Local town had their annual bike ride. nice day for it, not to warm, tolerable wind out of NW so when you got to the far end it was basically a tailwind all the way back. It was a 40 but flat easy riding. Meal afterwards was pulled pork, macaroni salad, fruit cup and a cookie. 1st ride for the good bike and trip odometer/speedometer didn't work, fixed now.
Rode for a while with a guy that is 80 and he did the whole ride, he was a nice guy and fun to visit with. I told him I hope I'm upright at 80. All in all a pretty nice day.

painted bedroom today, two coats. I'm annoyed at leaky tape. Kinda afraid to see the ceiling when I start pulling that off. DH got out the unwanted vacuum cleaner today since we decided it's a good time to do that since the furniture is out and the other vacuum did the whole smoking thing. DH likes using this one, he did basement steps and then the bedroom. I guess I'm less annoyed at it being unwanted if it causes DH to vacuum.
But need to do trim touchups so sleeping in a spare bedroom tonight. Changing it up.
Color looks good though, very happy with it. Not sure we'll get our bathroom painted before party. Going to try.

That's my point. Not very hospitable to sleep in another room without accommodations for your favorite guest.

The first 30 miles if our trip to Iowa Friday were punctuated with the aroma of porcine eminations. That ended just in time to encounter a skunk's final opus.

Busy day at the family reunion. Sadly there was a fatal plane crash at the Monticello airport. KCRG has started using a drone for coverage of stuff where an aerial view is nice. Problem though only that runway was closed (there is another one), drone operations are illegal within five miles of any airport....period. I contacted the reporter via twitter who gave me semi true information but failed to recognize the issue. Not her fault they are not properly trained...to an extent. Hate to be that guy but I will be contacting the FAA about it on Monday. #CoolStoryBro
Sounds like you cruised the High Trestle Trail Sat. How busy was it? I've ridden it a couple of times nice trail.
I am hoping that isn't the case but it became very clear that they had not been fully educated especially about the biggest rule in drone use. You don't use it near an airport period. The FAA even made a very nice app called B4UFly that uses your GPS and lets you know if it is legal to fly there or not. When it comes down to it one of the biggest all encompassing rules is that I must collect all information pertinent to my flight. Part of my wanting to contact the FAA is to see if there is a reporting process for reporting UAS violations.
