I've never not been proud of this country. I have at times during the last 2 presidencies been embarrassed by many in leadership, but my belief is this country will withstand the fools in both parties.
We bow to no king. Beyond blessed to have been born and raised here.
It was a June thread on a workday until this morning.
We have no idea how,lucky we are to have won the country lottery. I work with people from Cambodia and Thailand and a family member from Africa and all still have family in their native countries and none would ever even think about living anywhere else. God bless America!
I always loved this scene from the John Adams series on HBO. You read about this stuff in history books, but it's cool to see a depiction of it. The look on their faces is like "Oh ****...we really doing this guys!" They probably thought this vote was going to get them killed.
They had that look because they knew they were marked men because of it - that was a time of true courage.
