hi all. thought I would venture over here to get you expert opinions. Where is a good place to have sunday breakfast in Ames? My family and i are coming down for my brother's graduation from ISU. We are staying in Ames saturday night(don't ask me how I found a hotel room, Boone was booked, but Ames still had rooms) so i was wondering a good place to eat sunday morning before we head out of town. I'm sure my bro would have great advice, just want to get a general opinion from others. Thanks!

The Tip Top:biggrin:! But only if you like Chili. Kidding.

I know Olde Main used to have a brunch buffet, not sure if they still do though.

Got to second the Olde Main buffet. Much better than Gateway or any experience I've had at that place out on East Lincoln Way (though I don't even know if it's still open).

I was making fun of the song "Breakfast at Tiffany's" by Deep Blue Something...that just made my day

 Wow - I must say, I wasn't expecting you to reference THAT song. I thought you were responding to me not knowing the current name of that place out on West Lincoln Way - I have no clue what its name is currently, so that sounded as good as anything else!! :biglaugh:

I'm surprised Angie didn't suggest Angie's Kitchen (by Lake Laverne)

I've been curious if that was any good!! It's grown to a bigger location, hasn't it?
