I feel sorry for A LOT of those recruits that chose to play in the Big 12 (the last five or six years), because they thought playing in the Big 12 would help them to develop - at a similar rate and get to a similar level - as they would in other major conferences. Unfortunately recent NFL draft results tell a much different story.
I think you have trouble reading. CMC said the expectation from here on out are to win a bowl game and beat Iowa.
I agree it's more likely for ISU to compete in the Big 12 than consistently beat Iowa and play in bowl games, I'm just saying those were his priorities... beat Iowa, then compete in conference play.

You may consider OU a rival but I guarantee you the feeling isn't reciprocated by neither their fanbase nor the football team.
