My parents came down to go through The Parade of Homes and invited me. They brought their convertible, so I got to ride in back. #1 My hair may never be the same. One of the homes was on gravel, so hot, windy, and dusty. They were heading back north for a "ride"--old and new "classic" cars and convertibles. #2 I think they will be the only ones with a Buick Cascada.

#1: Need pictures! The only thing that can compete with crazy convertible hair is boat hair. I think I am going to post my best crazy boat hair picture on Facebook one of the TBT's. It's pretty awesome.

#2 They will absolutely be the only Buick Cascada, guaranteed.

I am totally into driving comfort these days. Rolled out the 30 year old 924S today because that little coupe has an A/C that still blows icy cold. After I got to the wine shop and turned the car off and pulled the key out the alarm chimes were dinging like crazy. Had to search and search to see what the grandruffians had turn on that was causing that. I had forgotten to lock the old girl up when they were here.

One of our granddaughters did that to PapaLew's beard a while back. I told him after she left that if he ever did that on his own, I'd shave him while he was sleeping!

Took the family to Glen Rose, TX today. Was suppossed to go to Dinosaur Valley State Park, hit a couple of trails (what I really wanted to do), then go to the river, and finally go to Dinosaur World (nearby attraction that has over a 100 full-sized dinosaur sculptures on a long loop trail (~ 2 miles) plus some animatronic dinosaurs).

Instead, we went to Dinosaur World first (kids saw it and started freaking out), then the river (we were there FOREVER), and finally about barely 1/3 of a climbing trail. Left at 9:30am and only got back around 6:30pm. The kids had a blast and are totally beat.

Had a couple of friends over for wine & cheese & meats & crackers...

Played a game we don't get out very often called Chronology. You get questions about different events, inventions, people, etc, and you have to put the card in the proper order between previous cards on your rack. Unlike Racko, you can change the positions of the cards to create space. Dates range from 2010 to circa 1200BC. Easy to learn, easy to play, you don't have to be a genius at trivia to play. Yay! A lot of relaxation and laughter....a VERY fun evening.

My oldest one is the one in the hat. My little one found a spot with the water rolling right into him and spent most of his time digging for pebbles in the water (or the ocassional large rock which he seem able to lift without issue).
