Lil Ferentz takes digs at ISU

Not after one year. If the offense sucks after year 3 it'll be both of their heads.

Ok, I'll hold you to that. If Iowa loses to ISU and goes on to not make a bowl game and their offense is terrible, you're saying there won't be people calling for Junior's head. Got it.

I'm not saying he'll be fired, there's no way that will happen after only one year, I'm saying there will be a lot of fans calling for his head. You're on record saying there won't.

Obviously, first things first though... Iowa will have had to have a terrible year offensively for this argument to even kick in, which I'm also not saying will happen either. Iowa might very well have a good year offensively, I don't know. I'm saying IF they don't.

ISU game will be a toss up, wouldn't be surprised at all if Iowa gets nipped in Ames.

I'd even be willing to bet it won't take an entire year of sucking offensively for fans to be calling for Brian's head. If they did happen to lose to ISU, there will be quite a lot of fans calling for his head if Iowa's offense looks terrible against "lowly" ISU.

There's probably a 50-50 chance that Iowa starts the year 0-2 after facing a Heisman Trophy candidate QB in Wyoming's Allen in week one. If they start 0-2, there will be a loud outcry for both Senior and Junior to go.... you can count on that.

The Big 12 was really bad last year. I don't see it getting any worse this season.

To be fair, ISU has scored as many points in the last two college football playoffs as the B1G representative did.

But I do agree, the XII was def down last year.

Fair point. But could you imagine what Clemson would've done to the Big 12 champion if they made the CFP last year?

Well, I can't imagine that because they didn't play...but I would imagine having a zero on the scoreboard is about as bad as it gets.

Oklahoma played them much closer the year prior though (1st half at least, basically same Clemson team). I wanted Clemson to win that game btw, screw OU.

BF coached in New England under Belichick and O'Brien and then was the OL coach at Iowa for 5 seasons before becoming OC. That is plenty of experience to become on OC at the P5 level.

I would be thrilled if Brian Ferentz took over for KF in a few years.
Whoa - there have been several guys who coached "under Belichick" who have been thought to be "can't miss" successes as head coaches, but weren't...like Crennel, Mangini, McDaniels, and of course Charlie Weis.
There's certainly no guarantee that Brian Ferentz = Bill O'Brien.

Yeah I'm just saying OSU curb stomped the Sooners in their house. If OSU put up 45 against OU and was that inept against Clemson it's not unrealistic to think Clemson v. OU would've been really, really ugly.

You know what was down? The BIG west..a complete joke of a division. I'm going to thoroughly enjoy watching Little whiny Brian lead what will be one of the worst offenses we've seen at Iowa. Cant' wait for the booing to commence after Game 3...

Let's no kid ourselves...The OC this year will be O'Keefe..

Geezus you really will defend the B1G honor won't you lol.

Ok it would've been ugly, you win.

Now my question, would OU at least score a point unlike the B1G in the last 8 quarters of CFP games?

Yeah but the Big 12 was really really bad last year.

I do agree the O could struggle next year, new QB, new OC, limited options at WR beyond MVB. Could be a slog, which is why I could see us coming out of Ames with an L.

They may have scored for sure.

I mean, it's honestly debatable isn't it? I see where you're coming from.

The B1G rerepresentative, AGAIN, couldn't even score a point. I mean..not even one. Not even on accident.

You're right, I'm convinced If the B1G couldn't, no way OU would score.

I think bowl season showed it wasn't really, really bad (it's how you end, not start). Another dramatized statement by you.

How'd the B1G finish their bowl season? I honestly didn't care to remember until now.

Yeah but look who the Big 12 and B1G played in their bowl games. Big 12 sent 6 teams to bowl games and only 2 of their opponents were ranked, the best of which was #10 Colorado. That's a little sad. B1G teams matched up against #2, #9, #11, #15, #17, #19, #21, #23. Unranked B1G team vs. #17 Florida. Unranked B1G team vs. #19 Utah. Unranked B1G team vs. #21 Tennessee. Unranked B1G team vs. #23 Pitt. So I guess congrats Big 12 on being so bad to earn those bowl matchups against a steaming pile of poo.

But January Bowls, am I rite?

Great justification on losing a lot in the postseason. At least some of those games had points scored right?

They did. And yeah the January bowl thing is pretty dumb. I do think this year there may be a chance that Big 12 graduates from the minors and plays somebody with a pulse.
