Iowa Football Recruiting

Well, ISU is also much deeper at the WR position ATM.

Words I really never thought would be mentioned in ISU vs. anyone.

I don't know much about Iowa's situation, but there's been hype before on ISU's receivers but that was more based on experience than actual skills and they were playing in systems with no base or consistency.

I don't think they're amazing by any stretch, but I did see some things last year that make me confident in at least diversity there, and there actually seems to be a plan to (gasp!) get them the ball how it fits their skill set.

Call me a kool-aid drinker, but in May, the sky's the limit. :)

FWIW, I feel that ISU has had an advantage at the WR position for a long time now. Don't know how you guys keep getting them.

Perhaps but it literally felt like last year (after the first two weeks of it being a complete mess) it felt like they were actually being utilized correctly.

Time will tell like anything else but there's potential there, along with the RB's.

Is that Boyle kid still a WR or did he go back to QB?

Back to QB.

Iowa only has 3 scholly WR's on campus right now.

Vandeburg, Adrian Falconer and Devonte Young.

There is at least 3 incoming freshman that are coming in as WR's and 2 more that are undecided to this point if they will be WR or DB's.

Interesting timing as it sounds like Downing was in to visit today. I am still thinking Iowa is a long shot for him though.
