***Official 2017 Transfer Thread***

Well that sucks, I was actually really liking the idea of Robertson for ISU next year. The less decent options there are the more I just want us to roll with the young guys next year for development's sake.

Grad transfer with 2 years eligibility

Uncertain about want/not-want ... I couldn't immediately find recent video of him, but HS senior-year reel looks good (that was 4 years ago).

He's from Omaha, maybe Creighton snags him if there's an opening(?) ... unless GU can "block" a transfer within conference.

For big men who are a longshot for ISU to get, I prefer Rooks.

Assuming no immediate-play guard transfers are on the board, my current wish-list ranking is:
1. Beverly
2. Brase
3. McIntosh, if ISU is on his radar. If that's the case, he moves into at least a tie with Beverly. I would take both in a microsecond.
4. Rooks, Agau, et. al.

Sit 'n' Play: Morrow for to-Morrow

Agree on this list. Geno Thorpe and Donte Clark are two grad transfer guards still out there. Wonder if staff has/will take a look.

We likely don't have much of a chance with McIntosh for various reasons but he would be a home run. People seem to be downplaying him for whatever reason but if you want to look at it is as we are more set at the guard position, he could be a better grad transfer for us than Elijah Brown.

I thought we were blocked from McIntosh? (Since we are a possible opponent of Ill St next year in a tourney)

I think Iowa State is blocked but it could be appealed and there's precedent for those appeals going in favor of the player. Still pretty unlikely but I believe Halsted reported we do have interest. McIntosh would be in a class of his own compared to guys like Beverly and Brasse though.

It does seem weird they can block a Graduate Transfer from going certain places. Grad transfers should have no restrictions.

So since we are down to Plans D and F at this point, if this Brase guy commits does anyone think he will have any kind of impact at all or are we just filling roster spots at this point?

I dont know his situation, but only playing in 5 games last year and averaging 6 points against Ivy competition doesnt instill alot of confidence in me.

I think it would totally depend on his knee health. I think he could make a big impact if he's healthy. He could be undervalued because of his injury.

Anyone think we have any interest the newest transfer from the other iSU?

DJ Clayton, 6'6" 185lbs guard.

Stats aren't amazing.

I am not saying he's great, good or even serviceable by any means but Princeton plays an absolutely glacial pace so no one is going to have eye popping scoring numbers especially averaging only 15 minutes per game.

However he did manage to go 11 and 4 at BYU in 19 minutes... I mean you have to ignore the fact that he only played 19 minutes because he fouled out but hey.... 11 and 4!
