***Official 2017 Transfer Thread***

No ISU in Cam Johnson's top 6.

Mighty list he's got there. But, TCU?......but then I remembered that Dixon would have already coached him at Pitt, right? Ugh. Talk about a coach turning a program around in a short amount of time. Wow.

On a side note: I've never heard of a grad transfer before that had 2 years of eligibility left. How does that happen? And don't tell me summer school.

They probably should have made the tournament this year, but struggled in close games. Johnson handed him some good talent. He's added to it nicely, but they've been underperforming and were ready to take off. There's so much local talent and recruiting to Dallas isn't hard anyways. It would be unlikely for them to ever be early era Johnson bad in the future.

Probably a kid that had a lot of college credits in high school. He is really smart if I remember reading correctly and he redshirted a year.

We've got one on our football team. Evrett Edwards....

Yeah, I guess it just seems different with their losses being transfers or early entries while ours
were all seniors.

I think it looks different because we've known for 4 years they wouldn't be here. With Oregon, they had to plan for either/or on all of these guys.

New phone. Who dis?

And the final piece of the puzzle is complete! This is from a Halsted interview with Shayok

MS: Once I got my release I had numerous schools reaching out and I really just tried to take it one day at a time and see the benefits of each school. Iowa State kind of got in there early and I knew that type of tempo offensively was something I was interested in and just the past success they’ve had with Canadians, too, with Naz [Mitrou-Long]. I’ve known Naz since I was a little high school kid playing for the same AAU team. He obviously played older. Really that connection and seeing how well he liked it, I got to speak to him a little bit in the process, so I really got a good sense of Iowa State and definitely liked what I saw.

This might be the one time I am right about a recruit so I have to milk it.

Score another one for Naz!

Mikyle McIntosh would be awesomeeeeeee. And tbh, I think he would be dumb to keep his name in the draft. Put the feelers out, transfer to a P5 for 1 year to get more recognition, and then hopefully have more of an established name when you get there next year.

Even thought I have no idea if this is a thing that we are pursuing, still think it would be a perfect fit.

I'd have to think he's talking to a lot of people behind the scenes and lining up options just in case.
