Cubs on ESPN tonight???

I am sure if you notice when they advertise on TV in small letters it says ESPN News shown in Chicago Markets. and for some reason they consider Iowa in a Chicago Market

Yep. We're blacked out. Sucks because this one isn't on Comcast as well, so we have no way of watching it.

Eastern Iowa is a Chicago Market. Wrigly field is only a 3 hour drive from where I grew up. Des Moines was further away for me. That's why most of the Eastern Iowa stations have the Chicago package on their cable.

The game is also on WCIU so...yeah, definite black-out.

There are lik 8 games a year on WCIU that you can't watch if you are a Directv subscriber, you can see all of the other games on either WGN, Comcast Chicago, or ESPN, Fox, etc.

Sorry, I disagree. I can see the cubs on direct tv. On 668 or also by going through the 700 channels they will have all the games that you get on the 600 channels. cubs, brewers, cards, royals, twins. Just have keep going up through the 700 channels until you come to it.

It has been my experience, and I read it somewhere one time, that you can't get the 8 WCIU games anywhere but locally in Chicago.

I wish I had been listening when Johnson hit that homerun yesterday. Ron was probably out of control!

Yesssss... I wasn't listening but can just imagine. I've heard him do it enough times. When we came back from that 6 or 7 run deficit against Colorado a couple months ago, he was just going bonkers.

I'm trying to figure out how Des Moines is considered being in the Chicago market yet mediacom doesn't have CSN. I can't see any game unless it's on WGN.

I happened to be listening to them during Johnson's homerun. It was great. To me, Ron sounds like a guy sitting behind you at the game. He's a fan with a microphone, a big reason why its fun listening to them.

Des Moines is considered in the Market for probably the most major league teams in the area.

You can't get MLBtv for the home games of the Twins, Brewers, Cubs, Sox, Cards or the Royals.

it sucks
