On to Football Season

Just looking at their schedule for the first time and reading here about raising the standards and such.

UNI - W
Iowa - L
Akron - W
Texas - W
OK - L
KU - W
TT - W
TCU - Tossup
WVU - L
OK St. - L
Baylor - Tossup
KSU - L

Six wins are very achievable I think.

Wyoming - W
ISU - W
North Texas - W
Penn State - Tossup
Michigan State - W
Illinois - W
Northwestern - Tossup
Minnesota - Tossup
Ohio State - L
Wisconsin - Tossup
Purdue - W
Nebraska - W

Iowa should probably win at least 9-10 games going into their bowl loss

I think it'd be pretty realistic for Iowa to have a Bo Pelini year.

I don't necessarily disagree with you although I'm not sure where I'd put the 5th or 6th win. They've been *this* close for the last couple of years but it's all about quick development and pushing through to make the plays when needed.

IMO there needs to be more than 3-4 actual wins to keep the excitement up...Campbell arrived past due vs. the apathy of the last 1-2 seasons of CPR.

Personally, I'll be disappointed with anything less than 6 wins. I won't be 'fire the coaches' level disappointed by any means, but at some point I think we should expect at least 6.

4 of our losses last year were by 7 points or less, gotta turn the corner.

Here's to getting back to a bowl game!

I like looking at it this way, here is how I see likelihood of ISU win in order from most likely to least likely:

Should
UNI
Akron
Kansas
Tech

Could
Texas
Iowa
TCU
Baylor

You never know
KSU
WVU
OK St

Yea Right
OK

Win all the should and 1/2 the could and we are bowling.

Great way to look a thing it, and it is why I think ISU goes bowling this year.

Iowa should easily get 9 wins with that schedule

I totally agree on the 9 wins if Iowa played ISU schedule.

Should
UNI
Akron
Kansas
Tech
Texas
TCU
Baylor
ISU

Toss Up
K-State
WVU
Ok St

You never know
Oklahoma

9 wins for Iowa playing ISU schedule.

As it is we have to play just a grind of a schedule.

Should
Wyoming
ISU
North Texas
Illinois
Purdue

Toss Up
Northwestern
Minnesota
Wisconsin
Nebraska
Michigan St

You never know
Penn St.
Ohio St.

I’d say 7 or 8 wins for Iowa unfortunately playing who we have to play.

Lol coming from the guy that said Iowa State had a much easier schedule than Iowa last year and Iowa State actually had the more difficult one. Keep it up!

Iowa with #44 SOS, ISU #49 SOS. Neither schedule was super tough really.

ISU hurts Iowa’s SOS, Iowa improves ISU SOS. The remainder of Iowa’s schedule was tougher than the remainder of ISU’s schedule. Which is the point I made, and it is accurate. Like most things you are just Trolling

You realize Sagarin is the most respected for SOS in college football right? Even under those rankings ISU would have had the harder regular season schedule because those would include the Florida game which would give you a big bump

Um, Iowa played Florida. When you have a good season, you play a good bowl opponent, that is what happens.

No matter how you try to troll it, Iowa and ISU were basically a dead heat in SOS. All of them we have quoted are so statistically close, they are basically a dead heat. If Iowa removed the anchor of ISU, their SOS goes up even higher and is easily tougher than ISU’s schedule.

You said ISU had a much much easier schedule than Iowa though

They did, if you remove Iowa and ISU from each others schedule. It is like you are patting yourself on the back for dragging Iowa’s SOS down or something?

This is why you are so bad at trolling, you say one day ISU played a much easier schedule than Iowa and you forget you trolled that so now you're trying to argue they were a dead heat in terms of strength of schedule

If were going off of power rankings, I'm seeing 4 games that Iowa would have lost (WVU, KSU, OSU, OU). They also lost 4 on their own schedule.

Im seeing 4 games that ISU would hvae won (Miami OH, Rutgers, Purdue, Illinois). They won 3 on their own schedule.

This is a stupid argument.

I’m not trolling, I’m just pointing out a fact. You on the other hand troll every second, trying to use every angle you can. It is like a non stop troll a thon with you.

I was always talking about the remaining schedule. Miami, NDSU, Rutgers, Northwestern, Minnesota, Purdue, Wisconsin, Penn St., Michigan, Illinois, Nebraska, and Florida
