***Official 2017 Transfer Thread***

It's not really how great of friends they are. It's that a kid from the area went there and had good success and that kid can vouch for the program. Kind of like how Ejim did with Naz.

They went through the same CIA bounce program. So did Elijah Long. A lot of these guys stay connected. Nick Wiggins, Anthony Bennett, Dillon Brooks, Ejim etc.

Not sure on Shayock and Naz's relationship, but I have found just from the outside looking in, that Canadian basketball players seem to be a lot more like a family. Every Canadian basketball player is giving props to another player when they are doing something good, especially if they are from the same AAU program or area.

It's a relatively small group, and they probably all feel like David vs Goliath when compared to US recruits. I'm sure they keep tabs on one another and root for each other in their careers.

I'm sure Naz and Shayok are familiar with each other, it seems like the Canadian players have a lot of support for each other, regardless of how well they know each other. I'd be surprised if they were close, didn't Naz leave Canada around 15 or 16? Did he still play AAU ball up there when he was going to HS in the U.S.?

Has already been mentioned, but for those who would like Kanter he's going to look to the NBA prior to "other options". He may not even be an option an even if so wouldn't be until after the NBA declaration deadline.

@GoodmanESPN Kerem Kanter, the younger brother of NBA big man Enes Kanter, told ESPN he has received his release from Green Bay. However, will declare for NBA Draft. "My priority is the NBA Draft," Kanter told ESPN. "If that doesn't work out this summer, I want to choose the best place to be able to get there next year." Will graduate and be eligible next season.

Another name I was hoping we'd be tied to but are not.

Yep, he was with CIA Bounce every summer throughout high school.

Kanter is intriguing after watching some highlights. But the staff must feel pretty good about Juiston as it seems they are more focused on guards.

rholtgraves: Hello sir, I'll be your waiter this evening.

@Messi: I would like to order the Crow.

rholtgraves: how would you like your crow cooked?

Messi: Medium rare, not bloody but not over cooked either
He's committed and due to Naz? Let's make Naz an offer and get more Canadians!
